Great burgers, fries, wings, and desserts. if they only had Guinness on draught they would be a pub! they did finally get some draught beer recently.
Slammed at Lunch. Great place to become a regular. Good Service, Good Food. It's dated inside so don't expect a upscale building but I kinda like it.
Neighborhood favorite with very cool bar stools. Our group of 7, including several teenagers, enjoyed our meal very much. The Taco Salad in the tortilla bowl was probably everyone's favorite but my tomato sauce meatloaf wasn't far behind. The menu is so diverse that everyone can get just what they want. Oh, and our glasses were always filled.
We got there a little later in the evening but would have loved to have had a table on the patio as the weather was perfect!
There's a story behind those cool bar stools. Just ask any member of the Dean family who have owned this neighborhood favorite for years.
Perfect Southern Lunch. Sometimes a restaurant does everything right. McCabe Pub just did it with the perfect Southern lunch - Dijon Pork Chop, Field Peas, Baby Limas and their standout corn cake. Flavorful and not over-salted (my pet peeve with most southern cooks). Highly recommended.
I just ate a freakin delicious burger there about 5 minutes ago.
I'm a sucker for meatloaf. Don't judge! Anyway, came here for lunch and tried a meatloaf sandwich and the key lime pie. I have both again (actually have a pretty good cake and pie selection). Good food in basically your wood paneled living room.
McCabe Pub was a wonderful retro style restaurant. My wife had said that when she used to live in the area, they had the best burgers. They didn't let us down. They still have a great burger! (And rest assured, they have parking. Just park and go in, you'll see that it's taken care of.)
McCabe's Pub has always been a nice place to catch lunch and watch a ball game. Good burgers and sandwiches, great fruit tea, and the different fruit crunch desserts are good. Just a nice friendly neighborhood pub with good people. Have enjoyed this place for 20+ years
The food is wonderful, service is amazing, and never had to ask for anything! 10/10 would recommend!
Gave this place five stars. Ordered FISH-IN-CHIPS $13.50, and 1/2 order of ONION RINGS $3.50. With tip $21.12. Food and service was great. I added photo. 😀 .
I have heard about McCabe for years, but never went. I'm sorry I didn't go years ago. The bacon, gouda cheeseburger was excellent. Crispy bacon and moist and juicy burger. Cooked just right. Would have given it a 5, but I ordered chips expecting them to be homemade, but just right out of the bag plain chips. A disappointment.
Well, while my sample size of food is slim, this place is an easy 4 star minimum. The staff were beyond helpful and friendly. While they didn’t have chess pie the day I went, I tried their broccoli casserole which was unreal. Actually mind blowing! They put walnuts in their casserole, and the casserole itself is sweet! Easily the best casserole I’ve ever had. While the quantity is small, it is delicious.
Next time I’m definitely coming when they have their chess pie!
This was recommended and it hit what we wanted spot on. Beautiful day, excellent cheeseburger and fries. We sat outside. I loved their outdoor seating and Abbie was our waitress and was ever so sweet!! I will be back!!!
Nice neighborhood pub with a good mix of menu and bar items.
They have a nice patio covered by a trellis.
A friendly, comfortable place.
Great job on a Saturday at lunch. Really short staffed but hit a home run on all accounts. We had 14 in our party, James and kitchen staff didn’t miss a beat. Food was great.
