Spent MANY years going to the keys, this restaurant atmosphere made me very happy. We opted for the early bird menu. Crab cake, seafood bisque and tenderloin fillets. It was all well seasoned and perfectly cooked. I could taste a sweetness in my entrée. Could not figure out what the taste was but I liked it.
We took advantage of the 1/2 price bottle of wine. We are very particular about our wine and this one was a hit! I love a good wine selection and they had it.
Cute vibrant color in the decor that will bring you to that keys feel.
Glad we tried it!
We wanted to love this place. It's real for sure, but maybe too real. The service was great, but the facility is in need of maintenance, updating and overall general cleaning. Even the plants are shedding on dinner plates from lack of caretaking. The Key West vibe is appreciated, but it has to be better executed when a dinner for 2 is $250. That said, the drinks were great, the music was entertaining and the Key Lime Pie was exceptional. We would gladly be back if things improved.
Love this place! Live music. Great food. Awesome atmosphere! Tuna Madagascar- husband says was fabulous. Ceaser salad with shrimp was great. Mango margarita was amazing!! (Sonny Ken- live music)
Our server she was nice. They were very busy but I like to chill and eat so there was no problem for me but If you have rush or you are very hungry this place is not good for you. Me and my friend we shared tuna tartar, I wasn’t sure about tuna and guacamole together but It was okay. I got the Down Island Chicken. I liked mostly patato pure which is comes with your meal patato pure was better than chicken. Live music was cool too ! I loved the wine which was s blanc from New Zeland
Ok… By far one of the best restaurants I’ve had in a while!! The manager is so friendly and our waitress kj was so funny, helpful, and kind. The decor was beautiful and the food was amazing. I love that they serve Jimmy P’s meats because I also love that place. French onion soup was the best I’ve had in a while. Definitely trying out the patio/bar menu next time, yum! I actually left the restaurant feeling that I ate at an actual restaurant rather than all of these open concept, boring and cheap feeling restaurants that are in Naples.
Female bartender needs to get over herself and realize these people sitting at the bar are actual , they have money to give them for service in return!!! If you need more time to get your bar ready, arrive earlier! The last person I want to encounter with an attitude is a bartender ! Other than this rant, great food, cool atmosphere and overall great people with the one exception
We had dinner several weeks ago. The meal was over the top. We ordered the home made chicken liver pate it was amazing. The tuna was also very good, Great drinks. We had a unique experience, at the end of our dinner getting ready to pay for our meal, I had not one but three credit cards fall out of my wallet between the wood deck. You got to be kidding! Fast forward, the owner was very helpful. They were able to get my cards back. They had to remove part of the floor. Thank you , thank you, we will be back to this real Florida restaurant!!
I had the Ribeye which was done to perfection. My wife has the Salmon which was also outstanding. Desmond, our server, was very pleasant and attentive. We would highly recommend. A++
This restaurant really is the real "Macaw" when it comes to food prep, quality and presentation, atmosphere and customer service. We opted for the early bird special and were surprised to find so many options. Unlike other restaurants that provide reduced prices for early diners, the portions at the Real Macaw were ample.....no skimping here. The crab cake really was the best I had ever eaten. Lots of crab, no fillers and beautifully seasoned. The Cesar Salad was excellent, but the shrimp scampi was the real star. Very fish stock forward and not heavy with cream as some scampis are served. The wine selection was perfect for pairing with our dishes, that also included the filet...we chose the carrot cake for dessert and it was so light and spicy that I wanted an extra piece to take home. Highly recommend this wonderful gem of a restaurant in the burgeoning arts district known as Bayshore.
This place is very cozy and nice, tucked away... the food is very good prices are fair. The bar is a little on the high side and the bartenders could use a little more practice. Ordered 2 traditional old fashioned and it was not great... not for 29.00 for the 2 ... other than that I enjoy going here for dinner...
