Hidden gem. Wonderful family restaurant, warm and welcoming staff. The menu is fabulous and the specials put the frosting on the cake. Food was fresh, prepared to perfection and delicious . Can not wait to go back.
This restaurant is fantastic! The service was great and the food was exceptional! We will go back again and again. It is a such a wonderful way to spend an evening. There is an unhurried feel with the food, company, and conversation as the star like it is in restaurants in Italy and other areas of Europe. Trattoria Mangia is really something special!
When the menus suggests you have to try the meat lasagna …you try the meat lasagna and it didn’t disappoint! Hubby really enjoyed his dish as well! We well be back for more food! Salad was fresh as well! Sorry we were too hungry and ate right out of the container
We heard many wonderful comments about Trattoria Mangia, we felt we had to try it. We were not disappointed! I wanted to try a variety of food, so we ordered the calamari appetizer - incredible! We had a side of the broccoli rabe, which I could have made a meal out of alone! We had a veal which was wonderfully tender and flavorful, and a pork loin that was to die for, stuffed with prosciutto, spinach and cheese. Our waitress was attentive and quick. The whole experience was Outstanding!
Just passing through on our way back home to Tampa from Key West. I called while driving through Alligator Alley to make sure they were open (there was a photo that said they were closed till September 3). Last Saturday they're open till then, we made it! Dressed for a road trip, we made reservations anyway. This place is perfectly IT-kitchy, reminding me of all the best Italian family restaurants in NYC. Almost everything is made to-order, in-house, and OMG so good! I got the gnocchi gorgonzola and added grilled chicken. The Manimal got chicken Parm. The portions are HUGE, three meals for me, two for him. I'm fine with that! The service is awesome (Sylvana), the music is fitting for the restaurant and at the PERFECT volume where you can hear it AND talk to people without yelling (well, if you're Italian, you might be doing that anyway). I think this might be the stopping point for every drive to or through Naples from now on. Also, it's not far from I-75. And it was my birthday week so I had three tiramisu! In house made, of course!!
Good to great food. Great service. A little pricey but comparable to other Naples restaurants. The lasagnetta (sp?) appetizer was good. Kind of a deconstructed lasagna. Red sauce is really good. Dinner comes with bread which was really good a small salad of mixed greens, carrots, and Italian dressing. My favorite was the meatballs.
The absolute best authentic Italian cuisine in Naples.
The Chef Ettore Laccetti is actually behind the stove cooking for his guests.
Not like most every naples restaurant were the food is cooked by Line Cooks from the U.S. & all over the world.
The real italian establishment in naples, operated by real Italians from Abruzzo Italy.
All their food is prepared from scratch with Italian Hands.
This is how a restaurant should be. Humble, inviting, beautifully decorated, like a Italian Great Room full of conversation & laughs.
People were having a Great Time here together.
Being family, friends, made to feel welcomed & well taken care of.
The food is incredible. All pasta made in house. All food from scratch. Nothing bought like other restaurants in naples. It's all made by hand here and that's how it should be...
You won't be disappointed. Your pockets won't either.
Great wine list, hand curated wines from across the world not just Italy!
This place is a true gem. Staff is committed to excellence and the food was fantastic. The facilities were clean and well representative of Italian culture. Try it...you won't regret it!
An adorable tiny Italian restaurant with friendly and knowledgeable staff and wonderful food. Get a reservation in season!! 5 stars!
Lovely surroundings. Great classic Italian cuisine. Bread was outstanding. Pappardelle with Bolognese was excellent.
I ate there last night which is Wednesday, March 22, 2023 after reading the reviews previously posted. I did not have a reservation although I arrived there about 8:30 PM. I had read the reviews most of which were excellent and some few that were not. I was alone but I had my service dog who is a golden doodle. Sonya was very accommodating and I believe she is either the owner or the manager. I ate outside which was very pleasant and I had the special which consisted Of chicken and veal and shrimp Franchaise which was excellent. My server Angela was sweet and gave me first class service. I have never written a review before this place absolutely deserved it.
The food was Amazingly Delicious, and the Service was excellent.
Our waitress Susan or Suzy was Great!
We had a Great experience, definitely going to be back again. 😍
