Love Mel’s - either Bonita (my fave) or Naples (hubby’s fave). Staff is fantastic - super nice & always johnny on the spot. Food is consistently good. Served hot & fresh; made to order. Best brown gravy aside from Mom’s. The little biscuits are yummy. Cream of Chicken Soup is the BEST. Enjoyed taking our Mom here for Mother’s Day. They do have the BEST Bloody Mary in Naples/Bonita.

Fun, retro diner to visit while visiting Naples. A very expansive menu with good diner food. Milkshake was not very cold when served and was mostly whipped cream. Burger was good, fries were average and cole slaw was good. Good key lime pie but not the best ever. $40 for two adults, kid and dessert.
Place could use some tlc cleaning.

This was my first time dining at Mel's Diner and it was a wonderful first experience.
We were greeted and sat immediately at a booth.
The atmosphere in this place is what you would expect in a Diner, lots of Memorabilia of the years gone by, also casual, friendly, clean, and inviting.
Our server was excellent, he took care of us and answered all of our questions, and made sure we had full drinks and that we were enjoying our food.
The menu has lots of food available to order and the prices, not what you normally see in Naples, FL. There are enough reasonably priced choices available. The Saturday lunch special is chicken fried steak with white gravy, mashed potatoes and veggies for $9.99. That's a great deal and it filled up the entire plate. You can get a double patty cheeseburger with onion rings, fries, and a shake for $14.99. I only rated the food 4 stars because my burger was a bit plain. I don't know how to explain it but it just tasted plain to me but it was still good and I ate it all up. I like my burgers to be seasoned more, I guess. The onion rings did not disappoint. I love beer battered onion rings and these were perfect. The chocolate milkshake was delish, as well. The chicken fried steak special was delicious as was the chicken alredo pasta.

Super old school awesomeness!!! I’ve been here twice. Both times food is SO good!! Burger was great the first time. This time I had the Captain Jack Pancakes and they are too good!!! Fluffy and full of flavor! I recommend this place to everyone! Friendly service. Everyone is kind, helpful and smiles!! It’s amazing!
I’m working in the area and staying at a hotel near by. Passed this place and looked them up online. Great menu! Stopped in for take out, sat at the counter and had a cocktail while waiting. Super fast, super friendly and really good diner food. Cool vibe. Plan on going back before I leave.
The service was great! I ordered the all you can eat fish and chips, they initially came with 3 massive pieces of battered fish and some of the best fries I’ve ever had. Then the waiter comes back 15 mins later with 4 or 5 (can’t remember) more pieces of fish. Obviously wasn’t finishing it all in one sitting, but that fish was really good and I was pleasantly surprised how low the price was. Very old school-looking which is the theme they’re aiming for. We ate there December 2022 and looking forward to coming back this month (we don’t live in the area)
I'd heard about Mel's for months, finally made it in. Twice now I've had their "All You Can Eat Fish Fry" because its so darn good that I can't stop ordering it. They use some unique bredding/technique that is so good that it tastes almost as good to me as my most favorite seafood dishes, which is outstanding when you compare their $11.00 dinner to my $25 p pd favorites. Very refreshing, especially in todays climate.
The ambiance is casual and well-kept. The service is quick, crisp, and attentive.
Their menu is diverse, and the food is tops- the table next to mine had a gorgeous Marbled-Rye Reuben that had to be at least 4 inches thick. I am 50 yrs old and Ive never seen anything close to that in a Reuben. That one is next on my list :)

Adriana was one of the best servers that we ever had. We communicated this to the manager who was politely interacting with customers who was also a gem. The portion sizes were large, hot, and delicious. I often go to First Watch, however at Mel's (off Tamiami) you definitely get a whole lot more for your money. Thank you Adriana!
I am impressed. This average looking dinner serves AMAZING food at a nice price. If you are lucky enough you'll get Mrs. Tracy as your server, she's the best. The Greek Island style grouper was just delicious...the combination of tomatoes, olive and spinach will melt anyone's mouth. They also serve grouper in 3 other styles. It came with vegetables and I changed the rice for the sweet potato fries and they were as good as they get. Before the fish a nice chicken soup is served. The Pesto Salmon was also very good. And the kids were happy with a thick cheese burger with sweet potato fries and a grilled chicken with a mashed sweet potato. Desserts were solid. A chocolate ice cream (included in the kids menu), a Creme Brule and a house made key lime pie. Overall a very nice experience!
Great place. Loved the turkey dinner. Donna our server was super friendly.
