Beautiful beachside views, great service and good food. Gumbo Limbo is the Ritz Carlton's beachside bar, built on the boardwalk overlooking the beach. While it's the Ritz, the beach bar has a casual and comfortable atmosphere. A place where you can relax, enjoy the view with some drinks and friends.
We got there later in the day so we could watch the sunset. Sunny at first, not that busy, but got a lot busier as we got closer to sunset. We had some drinks, started with their chips and salsa app, then later had the burger and the crab cakes for dinner... all were very good.
The Ritz has valet parking, which is free with a minimum $25 spend at the resort.
Such a great beachside snack shack with delicious food options. Located in front of the Ritz-Carlton on Vanderbilt beach, this restaurant features a cute tiki bar called The Sand Bar and plenty of outdoor seating with amazing views. Whether you are looking for a healthy choice, such as shrimp ceviche, or one of their robust salads, or aim for their gigantic chicken wings flavoured with buffalo sauce, or anything in between. Highly recommend for a beach side lunch spot!
Fantastic place, epitome of beachside dining.
The atmosphere is exactly what you'd expect from a restaurant on the Ritz's private property on the beach (it's built on a boardwalk overlooking the beach, with a nice patch of sea grapes and sea grass mangrove below).
The menu was great and we tried a variety of menu items, all of which we loved; Wings , Lobster Quesadilla, Blackened Grouper Tacos, and a Miami Vice to drink.
Our waitress (Alex) was great, very helpful, very chill, very attentive, and fun as well.
We took my mother to lunch to celebrate her 81st birthday. Everything was wonderful. Our server Mitchell was amazing with superb service. He blew us away with an incredible voice to sing happy birthday and brought out a piece of the best key lime pie to my mother. It couldn’t have been better. She was delighted. Thank you Mitchell for the wonderful experience. 🥰
Everything was very good. I felt the prices were a little high, even for a resort in Naples. Great views and service.
The wings here are excellent! The shrimp was alright. Nice view, open air so no air which means prepare yourself to be hot. I found the drinks to be very boozy which isn’t my choice but the frozen lemonade was pretty good.
Beautiful views right on the beach! The fish is wonderful, especially the fish tacos. Server was kind and attentive. It did take quite a long time to get seated, but there is a separate bar and you can grab a drink and hangout by the ocean to watch the sunset.
I've been coming here for around 15 years - several years before I moved to Naples over a decade ago. I've joked and said that we moved here for the wings ... pre Hurricane Ian. Gumbo was closed for some time after the hurricane and recently reopened. Everything is as I remembered it, with some nice additions, including branded paper for the place settings and a couple of nice additions to the beer menu. What has changed for the worse are the once legendary wings. The new wings are just ok. Everything else is still great and the views are unbeatable, The service can be a little slow when they get busy and prepare for a wait before being seated - if you walk all the way to the south side of the restaurant, you can find seating at the second bar. Enjoy!
The service and atmosphere are lovely. My friend, daughter, and I had the best experience today thanks to lovely local people and our server Miles. Miles was incredibly thoughtful and very helpful with my young daughter on her second ever day at the beach. Drinks and salads were delicious. Skip the ceviche.
Always a great venue on the beach. Comfortable and scenic.
