Tiny spot, limited hours, but well worth the food.
It's worth the wait!!! The fried chicken by itself is good but it's better with the ponzu sauce (I prefer the spicy one). Love the brussels sprouts with bacon and goat cheese and curry cream corn. Already planning my next visit.
I'm a fried chicken fanatic and I think their batter is unique. The curried cream corn is delicious. The chicken rice is decent enough. Overall, if I were ever in town, would totally stop by or suggest this place.
Delicious and tasty, super friendly servicedead The food really speak for a self. I believe the price is a little high, but totally worth it. My favorite Side dish is the collard green 😋
How does the chicken skin stay crispy the next day?? And the meat is plump and juicy? What is the secret??
Why is the ponzu sauce so addicting?! Yes, both the regular and the spicy. My gawd.
The sides are delish! I especially love the Mac and cheese and Brussel sprouts. Even hubby scarfed the greens down... it’s like magic. Least favorite sides are probably the curry corn and potato salad - good, but not special.
This place was excellent , nicely executed and packaged product.. may be our new favorite.
There was a little bit of a wait when we went there, but what do you expect it's 8pm on a Saturday night, that's how it is. It's a cozy little fried chicken restaurant, you can expect it to be packed during peak hours. There are a few chairs outside for you to sit and wait after you write your name on the waiting list.
After maybe 20 minutes, my friend and I were finally seated. At this point, I thought to myself, how could this be worth it after that long of a wait(I'm kind of an impatient person). But trust me. It. Was. Worth. Every. Minute. We. Waited.
The chicken was so juicy and the skin was out-of-this-world type of crispy. 2 drums, 2 breasts, and 2 wings. Extraordinary chicken, I tell you. They give you two bottles of ponzu sauce with the chicken, spicy/non-spicy. The spicy one is my fave. The sides we got were really good. I ordered the potato salad and coleslaw as sides. While not expecting the coleslaw to be good, it actually blew me away, I rarely find good coleslaw. My friend ordered their mac and cheese a la carte. Oh. My. God. What kind of cheese blend do they put in there?!? It's baked to perfection and is so cheesy-ooey-gooey-delicious.
All of this at a good price and with amazing service, the servers are attentive and very courteous. If you haven't been here, WHAT ARE YOU DOING? Go to Tokyo Fried Chicken ASAP! THEY'RE AWESOME!!
Overall, it was a good restaurant although I wouldn't wait that long again. There were a lot of people who ordered to go so if you live around there, that would be a good option. Price was decent and service was nice. Come check out the place if you're craving fried chicken!
P.S. I hope a new location opens up soon that is more spacious and is just as amazing.
They offer a fantastic range of fresh food. I enjoy eating here. Employees are always kind, rates are convenient and the spot is always kept clean.
This is, by far, the best fried chicken I have ever had!!! We ordered the family meal. Even the sides were amazing. We got the yams, collard greens, mac n cheese and brussel sprouts. My whole family was satisfied. This is definitely our new fried chicken spot!!!
Seen this place for years. Finally decided to go. I regretted it! Regretted I didn't go years ago. Great place, even with COVID restrictions. The chicken was CRISPY, even after a long car ride home in the bucket. A bit sweet, but not too bad. The cabbage salad was exceptional. They have a big selection of Japanese beers that are okay to take out. Happy servers too!
