Let’s just say this is a must spot in the Minneapolis area. I’m Cuban 🇨🇺 and finally after living here for 12 years I finally found a true Cuban food spot! Sorry but “Victor’s 1959 Cafe” is not it! The Cuban sandwich is perfect! It is a 10 out 10 but don’t show my mom this review because I would be in some big trouble. The flavor of the meat is unbelievable just like we make it at home. The bread was toasted just right. Holy and the Colada was on point just like they serve in Miami. No one and I mean no has been able to get it right here in the Minneapolis and he did! Wow!!! I’ll be back soon! Thank you! 🇨🇺

Dan the owner is Dan the man. Personally place key West in my top 5 coffee spots in Minneapolis, and second for sandwiches only beaten out by my nostalgic love for caffreys sandwiches. Great place to stop if you are nearby and need food or coffee. Definitely also would recommend going out of the way to stop in as well.

Wowza! I have heard good things about this place and the cynic in me had to see for myself. Mission accomplished! The Cubano sandwiches are spot on and remind me of the ones I’d get in Brooklyn when I lived in NYC. I gotta do my best to limit this incredible treat to once a month, and it will be hard. This is an adorable cafe sitting on the corner. I wish it had more square footage, because I could see this being a very bustling venue. DEFINITELY check it out!

If I could give more than 5 stars, I would. I love this place and will go out of my way to get their Cubano and coffee. Flat out the best. Today, I just tried their breakfast sandwich with the Cuban pork. OMG! Delicious.

Amazing Key Lime Pie for Minnesota. Would recommend simply for the pie. Snazzy, welcoming atmosphere. Good coffee, too. Just wish offered gluten-free sandwich bread as the sandwiches sound amazing and Atuvava gf bakery is literally across the street to collaborate for gf bread options.

Best coffee in the Twin Cities. Period. Every cup is amazing and their seasonal lavender latte is worth any sort of travel.

Not gonna lie, my son and I just agreed that this is literally the best Cubano we've ever had. This is from a guy that's tried to eat at the best Cubano shops in both Tampa and Miami! We had both the standard, and BBQ version. Both perfect. Owner was working the day we were here and he was super cool, too.

A small, inviting place with a very chipper...I think it was the owner that we were talking to? Nice guy, very enthusiastic. The Cuban bagel was really good, and the Cuban bread was deliciously crispy, not crunchy. We got the Cortado and the Cortadito as well, which were very smooth

Key West Bistro is located in one of my favorite areas of South Minneapolis and I visit as frequently as I can. Close to the light rail and other fantastic spots to grab food at. The owner is lovely and I really appreciate the thought that went into creating a space that doesn’t look like every other coffee shop in the Twin Cities. I started with an iced cafe con leche and it was SO GOOD and arguably the best drink to grab on a warm day. Followed up by a Cuban that was crunchy on the outside, pressed down to perfection and soft on the inside. Loved the pork, ham, cheese, mustard and pickles - all very authentic tasting, down to the sour pickles, which is KEY here. I’m a South Florida native who has lived in the twin cities for 6 years now. Finding Cuban food and Cuban coffee is not easy around here. Thanks for bringing back some great memories from my younger years with my most recent visit.

We liked everything about this low-key, unpretentious bistro with a cuban motif. The owner was friendly, the service was great, good selection of coffee and tea, and the sandwiches were delicious. But BEST of all is the KEY LIME PIE baked on site by the talented owner! Going back for sure.
