I ordered a 50 piece wing for a football party. The wings were small but good. Everyone at the party wanted to know where I got them. The four star is because they weren't ready at the time they promised. And place is a mess.
First time trying out this spot. I had ordered a Philly Cheesesteak combo meal along with a lamb gyro combo meal. The Philly Cheesesteak was kind of bland and the sautéed pepper and onions were too soft and mushy. The gyro on the other hand was amazing! It was seasoned perfectly. I loved how they seasoned their fries with lemon pepper as well. This place is truly a hidden gem.
The wings were on point, and the fries!!! They are very hard to stop eating!!! I'm not sure who the gentleman was that night, but it was on Friday, September 8th. You were awesome. Thanks for your great sense of humor. Will be a repeat customer
Just as friendly as folks can be!! And the food is phenomenal!!! Last night I had the sambusas. SUPER flavorful and just the right amount of spicy, not overpowering. I've had their catfish before, and tonight it's just as delicious as ever!! I'm going to recommend the tartar sauce for dipping your fries. Not your fish. The fish deserves to taste as good as it does all by itself. They make the tartar sauce themselves! They have the packets too, if you don't like homemade. But it's the best darn tartar sauce in all the Cities!!! 😁
Ordered delivery was great visiting from out of town. Got the chicken gizzards trying to figure out what the sweet taste is in the breading. But it's delicious.
FANTASTIC!! This is my second time ever at JJFC. This place is a diamond in the rough! So much to choose from. I drove over 30 miles just to eat here. I had the catfish for the second time now. The gentleman working was very friendly and helpful. I will be returning without a doubt!

I love Chicago J Fish and Chicken. One of the best restaurants on Broadway Ave N. But #1 to me, the fish and chicken is amazing, and the Philly meat lovers made whit steak, gyro, & Italian beef is to die for 😜😜.. coming from your lady Nikki💋.
I ordered the catfish and shrimp. I asked if they could lightly fry my food because I don't like my fish fried hard. They did not disappoint ! I will be making another visit. A hidden gem in north Minneapolis 👍🏽
