Elsie's is an icon in NE Mpls! Really great bowling place. We had drinks and appetizers: the boneless wings are very good, and the artichoke dip with pita was pretty tasty too. Nice selection of beverages and beer. We were thrilled to get an open lane on a busy day during the holidays.
Had lunch with my old boss (from my old job, my not aged boss) and a couple of my old coworkers. The french toast was delicious as I love having breakfast any time of the day, service was good and the atmosphere comfortable. The bowling lanes looked good and I will be back some evening to bowl though the place is not close to my house. I recommend it.
A great neighborhood haunt to satiate many needs. Bowling, beer, pizza, brunch, sportsball on TV, birthday parties, casual hang, dinner, cocktails, weekday lunch... The list goes on and on. The service is great in all areas - helpful bowling alley attendants, friendly servers, entertaining bartenders. Brunch ends early at 1:00, which is a disappointment for those of us that get out of bed and start the weekend days late. Portion sizes are more than enough giving you a guaranteed full belly without breaking the bank. Clean bathrooms, bar, restaurant, and bowling area. We had lots of fun bowling at Elsie's. It was very busy and we didn't make a reservation ahead. Luckily a lane open up not long after we arrive. They have nice animations on the bowling screen. It has a nice fun atmosphere. We'll love to go bowling there again.
Bowling at Elsie’s is an absolute blast. The Sunday evening bowling league is fun and laid back while still having a nice level of competition, and the bi-weekly schedule works great with my calendar. The staff that works during the league is awesome, they are friendly, helpful, and efficient with drinks and food. The various raffles that they run during the league offer great extra involvement and there is a great sense of community about the place. Not to mention the food is awesome as well. The dinner meals are tasty and filling, the sides are well seasoned and good to share with the table. I always look forward to the next league night or any opportunity to bowl here.
Met my buddy Charlie at Elsie’s for a Sunday morning breakfast. Wow! We both had the prime rib (medium rare) with eggs (easy over) and hash browns (nice and crispy). Coffee was good but I would like a darker roast.
Super staff did a nice job on service.
Side note…. My dad bowled a 300 at Elsie’s.
Wonderful, friendly staff serving delicious food in a fun atmosphere. A real Northeast tradition! And Elsies cares about the neighborhood, always giving to help the community in so many ways.
Had an Awesome lunch !!I had the hot meatloaf sandwhich!!Absolutely delicious!! Great atmosphere,friendly staff..also has a bowling alley although we didn't bowl today!! Great Sunday lunch..
Great food. Fast and friendly service. They have a fun bar area with karaoke and pull-tubs. They also have a quieter dining area too. TVs throughout the place to watch the games or whatever. Bowling is fun down the hall too.
Can’t really think of a bad thing to say about this place. Bowling good. Bathrooms clean. Food good. Prices good. Service good. Nicely done.
