Probably the best dining experience I've had in the twin cities. Incredible food, with really fresh and well-sourced ingredients. We had the grilled lamb (sausage and rib), which was cooked perfectly and had a delicious sauce; also had the walleye which was lovely. Deserts were excellent and definitely worth trying. Get a few and share! The service we received was fantastic. Friendly, attentive, and focused on giving us the best experience. Will definitely be back soon!

I don't frequently eat in Minneapolis. I am more accustomed to the comforts of the suburbs. To me parking was a little odd, either costly or hard to find. Seating was a bit stressful because it is first come first serve and fills quickly. There are a lot of people sitting around enjoying themselves and that creates a positive atmosphere but it also makes it hard to find a spot to sit. The prices are also on the high side. One regular sandwich, two open face sandwiches, two pastries, and one cup of coffee was about $55. I suppose that is not bad for the city but it was not cheap either. That is all the bad.. everything else was positive. The food was great, very enjoyable. Everyone enjoyed their food and thought it was tasty. The pastries and coffee were very good. I loved the almond rhubarb thing. The building was also nice to look at. Very pleasant place to be. The service was also great.

Without question, this was one of the most phenomenal meals I've ever had. My husband and I dined here for his birthday and were completely blown away by the experience. We both ordered cocktails, appetizers, entrees, and dessert and each plate we were served was clearly created with intention and precision. Did you know that barley could be turned into a creamy risotto-like dish? My mind and taste-buds were blown. The service was also incredible - very attentive and incredibly personable. I believe everything together for the two of us ended up being about $150 - which I felt was worth every dollar for the experience we had. After the amazing meal, we wanted to walk around for a bit and since the restaurant is located next to the Mississippi River, we were able to have a lovely walk along the trail along the river before heading back to our hotel. If you are looking for a phenomenal, memorable dining experience in a uniquely wonderful part of Minneapolis, this is the place.

This was mine and my wife's first time dining here and I don't know why it took us so long to get here! We were celebrating Valentine's day together and it could not have been more perfect! The food quit literally evoked an emotional experience. Every dish was prepared and served beautifully and our server Danielle was so friendly and helpful! The drinks were ordered were so original, creative and delicious! We seriously can not wait to go back this Spring when they roll out a new menu! Thank you for a wonderful evening!

Came in on a cold morning. Excited that there was a mushroom soup on the menu, got shot down when they said they were out and it was only 11am. So went with the salmon option. I wish it came with another piece of toast as there was lots of salmon on it. But I wasn’t about to pay $3 for one piece of bread. Coffee was good. Cute interior. Bathrooms clean and nice. But prices are higher here. Didn’t get chance to get pastry. No signage on the front so had to kind of guess and really look at map. That would help if there was a sign.

The Bachelor Farmer is a unique restaurant with all local products that would be a perfect destination for tourists that would like to taste Nordic influenced food. Our server was very knowledgeable and pleasant. Every Monday they have a chop night. Their portions have a perfect size, so you won’t leave hungry.

This place serves simple food like chicken and pork, but don't let that fool you. It is prepared perfectly. The food is fresh and delicious like nothing I've ever had before. Instead of bread to eat when you sit down, they serve homade potato chips with yogurt dipping sauce. Although you don't get many, they were even better than you would expect. The appetizers (or toasts) were simple and tasty. The entrees were cooked perfectly. The outside of the meat was crispy and it was so tender and juicy inside. Expect to pay a lot when you come here, but for a special occasion it's worth it.

One of the best restaurants I’ve had the pleasure of dining this year. Recommended by a local, I had my doubts because she mentioned that they specialized in Scandinavian food. I didn’t know that was a category. So the bar specialty Dram drink was fabulous. A knowledgeable bartender who could suggest drinks! We hit Chop Night so I got to dine on the tastiest pork chop ever. We just loved this gem. Call for reservations because I’m sure they’re busy all year. One of the best memories of Minneapolis!

I loved the dimly lit ambiance of both, The Bachelor Farmer and Marvel Bar. We started the night downstairs with a few cocktails at Marvel Bar as we waited for our reservation upstairs. We had a few more drinks once we were seated upstairs but the food was where we enjoyed ourselves the most. We started off with the Duck Broth, Popovers and the Fresh Cow's Milk Toast. Everything exceeded our expectations, so we decided to continue to choosing our entrees. We decided on the Grilled Devin Beef and the Market Fish (Walleye), which were also amazing. I highly recommend visiting both Marvel Bar and The Bachelor Farmer in the same visit.

While we all know the food here is amazing, I wanted to add a review about The Bachelor Farmer as a wedding venue. What a delightfully unique spot for an intimate ceremony and reception! I was so impressed by the staff and how they easily moved the guests from room to room so they could take down and set up dinner (which was delicious!). Highly recommend if you're looking for a space to host a small wedding.
