Great food...best scones in town!. I've made it my personal mission to introduce this place to every one I know! The food is delicious, healthy and the prices are reasonable.
This is honestly my favorite bakery in Milwaukee. When I lived in the area I frequented the Cafe often and the owner was ALWAYS so kind and conversational. Even with moving 30 minutes away, I still make it a point to visit if I'm in the area during business hours.
Their soup, salad, and bread combination NEVER fails. Tea is exceptional. And staff is always genuinely kind.
I can't wait to be bake in that part of the city so that I can get my amaranth fix.
this place is simply perfect. I can’t think of a better-tasting salad I’ve ever had (nor soup). the bread and shortbread are delightful and the french press coffee fresh and rich. come here next time you’re in the area!

I have to question, what do they add to their food ? Yet I dare not! Is it a misytical magical potion. For two weeks they close their doors. Where are they? When will they return? I will be there early in the morning knocking on those doors . Let me in! I can not breath, I can not sleep. I want my delicious everything bagels with cream cheese and coffee. Delicious coffee, amazing soup, baked goods so tasty I could cry (the almond croissant is my all time fav). Plus the owners are super kind humans.
Stopped by this morning! The worker was so nice and helpful- got two coffees and a variety of pastries- all were delicious but the berry turnover was TO DIE FOR. I couldn’t believe how addictive that crust was! Would definitely come back!
