Always great food! (Try the honey wine)
And an awesome experience.
Great service, great food, and amazing honey wine!
This is the first Ethiopian restaurant I've tried, and I'm addicted. It's family-owned. The food is made with love and is so tasty. Their vegetarian sampler is to die for! Every time I get it, I order the shareable size so I can take it home and eat it all week. I haven't even tried anything else yet (other than the sambusas) because I can't stay away from that sampler. In fact, I may have to order one tonight due to writing this review. 😆 I always receive friendly service. They were closed for in-house dining for a long time after COVID but I believe it's open again now.
Oh, what a find. I love Ethiopian food and this was all that! Don't go if you are in a rush, this place is a whole chill vibe. The food was amazing, and do get the mango drink. It was so nice not to be in a loud restaurant, even the other dinners were speaking only for their table to hear. Again, it was a vibe. I loved it and I will be returning often.
The food is the star. Absolutely delicious. Not the most glamorous place but I came for the vegan platter and it did not disappoint.
Delicious food in a casual setting. Plenty of vegan/vegetarian options. Fun to get a sample platter and share with a friend.
One of my favorite restaurants in Milwaukee! The food is an amazing cacophony of exotic herbs & spices that takes one on an epicurean journey. The sampler platters are incredible. It’s a very chill environment with outstanding service.
Wow, what an incredible experience here. We had a luxurious and leisurely dinner, with South African wine and their vegan taster platter. It smelled amazing as soon as we walked in. Everything was so delicious, and the atmosphere was tranquil and pleasant; everyone spoke in quiet voices at their own tables. Our hosts were gracious and accommodating! We came hungry and left stuffed and happy. We will definitely be eating here again. Don’t miss this Milwaukee gem!
Although I would have loved to dine in and enjoy the full in-person experience, the quality of the food still came through in the takeout meal. The combination C2, which has a variety of delicious meat and veggie dishes, provides an abundance of food that is well worth the value. Make sure to order extra injeera - you won't regret it!
Wasn’t expecting much but the food was excellent, among the best Ethiopian food we have had! We shared the vegetarian meal for 3 and every dish was well done - yellow lentils, red lentils, cabbage with carrots, greens. The injera was plentiful and tasty. Will happily return.
Had a great time here and the food was amazing. Ordered a plate for 2 and everything tasted great. Service was phenomenal and be sure to make a reservation!
WOW! Just, eat here as soon as you can.
We ordered one of the Taste of the Cottage for two meals with lentil soup and the sambusa and the tomato salad.
What a delight. Their greens are so packed with flavor and the red meat was tender and perfectly cooked, the red lentils were mildly spicy with other ( not hot) spices I've never had before. Everything came wrapped in soft flat bread ( ingera) that was tender with a touch of sourdough flavor.
But if you eat one thing, get the chicken! They have doro wat and doro alicha. GET BOTH. Rich, velvet goodness you won't regret.
Vegetarian?
No problem, you will die for their cabbage and veg stew and their collards cooked with onions. Hearty and delicious!
The portions match the prices, I couldn't finish mine. The sambusa were a bit underwhelming, but a nice starter. The man taking orders was lovely. I hope to dine in as soon as that is possible.
We will make sure to stop here every time we are in Milwaukee.
