It took me way too long to finally get to Centro Café but I discovered just what a great place it is having dined there twice in the past week. The place is fantastic with many gluten-free options, wine choices were very tasty and portion sizes and the quality of food were exceptional. What a great place to dine, right in the middle of the Riverwest neighborhood. Highly recommend!
Such a lovely place. Walking feels like stepping into someone's home. The mixture of wood, metal, and stone is warm and inviting. The staff is equally pleasant and courteous. The open kitchen adds a unique element. On top of the atmosphere, the food was great! Quality ingredients, excellent flavor profiles, I enjoyed every bite. Great date night spot!
Food was really good, but did not exceed expectations overall. The artichoke dip was the best item we got!
Bolognese was heavy on the mushrooms for our taste, and the Giardiniera was flavorful, but I would go with something else next time around.
One of the best places to eat! Huge favorite for us! Food is FRESH, FRESH, FRESSSSSHHH! (And you can reallyyyy taste the difference!) The chef's cook right in the dining room in an open concept kitchen. There's intimate outside seating, too! Perfect for anniversary or any special occasion.
Iva was our waitress and I can't even express how welcomed I felt. My partner and I decided to go here after a long week, and it definitely hit the spot. The food was phenomenal, and the service was wonderful. The place has a great vibe and I will definitely visit again.
Was one of my favorite restaurants! Every visit is pleasant. My most recent one was fairly good. However their prices seemed a lot higher since the last time I’ve been here. I ordered the cacio e Pepe. It was just okay. 3 scallops and a small portion of pasta that was quite dry. My favorite part of the dish was the sautéed mushrooms. Sadly not $37 worth. However my boyfriend got the Short rib rissoto and that was excellent! Overall, food is good but pricey for what it is.
Food was excellent, atmosphere is old school italian restaurant. Service was very good . Little jazz bar next door playing music on the weekends was nice too.
First time at this place. Went there with the Boss and a few co-worker friends. Truth is, I've never been to a place quite like this. We sat way in the front and they opened the huge window for us. The atmosphere was the thing I like best about this place. Old world charm for sure. The food was good. Really good actually. If I was forced to belly ache about something, the one thing would be the portions. But it was nice and worth it. Would go there again for sure.
As you can see from the photos below, Centro has perfect Instagram lighting for foodies!
That is just the cherry on top though, as they serve extremely flavorful and balanced Italian dishes and great cocktails. Any of the spritzs will be a great choice during a summer day. Also great place for seafood.
Staff is friendly, atmosphere is great, and prices are wallet friendly as well. Centro is definitely ready for more in person customers as the world opens up!
Had their seafood linguine that was to die for. Super tasty sauce, fresh pasta and the scallops and shrimp were perfectly cooked. Amazing.
Pasta made from scratch! Locally sourced, an ambiance similar to that of a New York style bistro. Excellent wine selection. Craft made drinks from the bar. Exquisite service. A must try for anyone that lives in the Milwaukee area. This is a go-to for us on date night. Try bar Centro too if you want a fun night full of live music and a speakeasy feel.
Fantastic service, charming atmosphere and scrumptious food. The Gnudi was truly fantastic, will absolutely be back for that dish! Also a serious bonus they have gluten free options!
