we had amazing anniversary dinner at this place. The hospitality and professionalism from our servers Jared and George was superb. The food tasted amazing. The ambience was great even though we were a bit late for the lake view. Definitely coming back. Thanks.
Operating many years. One of the top restaurants in Milwaukee. Appetizers, Snails, beef tart, goose liver were good. Mussels were salty. Giving 4 stars because of the main courses. Everything was too salty, especially the filet steak, the dover. The only thing not too salty was the medium ribeye. The scallops were so so. The service was great, though.
Always a great experience! Real French bistro atmosphere in the heart of Lake Park. Wonderful ala carte and set menu. Great wine list. Highly recommended.
Over Thanksgiving break we had dinner here to celebrate my parents' 50th wedding anniversary. Everything was lovely.
Absolutely stunning dishes & drinks, paired with amazing service. Hakim, our server, was excellent and made the birthday dinner with my girlfriend a much more special and memorable experience. The food is elegant and delicious. Everything was cooked to perfection. The cocktails were fantastic and the bartender was great! Would highly recommend going here for an intimate dinner with a beautiful lake view or to get together with old friends.
If you enjoy high-quality food, service, and experience, please go to this restaurant. It's always nice to be a chef in the industry and go out and experience a business in the restaurant industry that just gets it! Love love love, will be back for years to come!
Wonderful!!! My wife and I were visiting Milwaukee for the day/evening and booked Lake Park Bistro based on reviews and were not disappointed!
We arrived 30 minutes early and had an excellent cocktail at the bar and were seated early due to availability.
Our server team were Heaven and Dot and they were phenomenal. Heaven was engaging throughout the meal and offered recommendations and advice that was spot on and appreciated. Dot was attentive and made sure we were taken care of and Heaven and Dot made a great team.
Now the "Main Course" or the review (pun intended). My wife and I chose the Prix Fixe option of the Haut Bistro Menu and the meal was truly memorable! All four course from Appetizer to Dessert delivered on flavor!
As a side note to Heaven, sorry we were not there the previous weekend to help you win server bingo for my ordering all three supplemental enhancements :-)
My wife and I will definitely visit again and enjoyed the experience immensely!
Dover Sole is the best I’ve had anywhere and worth the $59 price.
There was a rehearsal dinner so the staff was scurrying around to accommodate the diners as well as the party.
I’ve been to the restaurant numerous times and never had bad service like this before
As we left, the general manager asked, how are dining experience was. When we shared the poor service he thanked us for telling him but did nothing as far as any kind of concession is concerned.
I think this is an aberration for a Bartolotta restaurant especially their flagship Lake Park bistro.
I will definitely be going back.

Myself and 5 friends went tonight to celebrate our good friend's engagement and wedding coming up next month with something a little different! We had an amazing time, the food was totally different than what we normally would find but so good, we had a ton of fun picking out our meals, trying all the different things, and just enjoying the experience. The wait staff was phenomenal, I honestly think Allison was a highlight of our evening. She was very personable, made us feel entirely comfortable, and had great tips and information on the menu.
We were gifted with extras at dessert, champagne for those of us that partook in cocktails and N/A sparkling juice for those that didn't and it was SO good! Super refreshing! We also (seriously, they were so amazing) were gifted a bite of something delicious - I apologize for not remembering what it was by the pastry chef this evening - but it had almonds, was a dessert bar of some sort and it was really good - not super sweet, honestly would have gone great with coffee if any of us had room for it - which we most certainly did not.
The atmosphere was wonderful, even being in proximity to other tables it still felt intimate enough that we couldn't hear other parties' conversations, nor could they hear ours, and I feel like we were a little rambunctious at times. Also, my friends that had cocktails said nothing but high praise for them - my coke with lime was also top notch * in case anyone cared ;)

It was good. Like, really great. It also felt like a performance at times. Lots of fun pouring, super attentive taking items away, never once had to ask for anything, be it water, napkin, silverware, etc etc. Maybe we're cheap dates but I'm fairly certain everyone went above and beyond, exceeding our expectations. Thanks for a great experience!

4. The best dang dessert option there is - even though the mousse looked and sounded amazing - I will DIE on this chocolatey-citrus hill any day. Any. Day. This chocolate cake (better than the chocolate cake in your head, bet) and orange sorbet - beyond. Be.yond.
Amazing value for an incredible meal. We dine with 4 guest total, all ordered something different. Each dish was delicious, there was nothing we didn’t like dish to the bread and salted butter. Service was on point and the view was great. 10/10 would recommend
