This is hands down the best colombian restaurant in town. I recommend asking for johan as your server. Hospitality was superb. Also recommend trying the sancocho and empanadas!
El Mayoral is a Columbian home style restaurant in the West Kendall area of Miami. The menu features a wide variety of typical Columbian dishes. Meals are fresh and flavorful and the wait staff is pleasant. You start your meal with a complimentary cup of chicken broth, which was delicious. One of the mist popular dishes is the Bandeja Paisa, which features rice, beans, fried pork skin, grilled or ground beef, sweet plantains, eggs, arepa, and pork sausage. The steak was tender, juicy and flavorful, the fried port skin (chicharron), was crispy and delicious, the red beans were sweet and gently earthy. We have had this dish in several Columbian restaurants in the area however, this one is not to be missed. Probably among the best. The passion fruit mousse was light, sweet, smooth and just the right dessert after a filling meal. The restaurant features both indoor and outdoor dining and there is plenty of parking.
This place is always great,the portions are generous and flavorful also the service is very good and the desserts are delicious.

Ajiaco, Steak, chicken soup, service, vibe, music, all love. Kid friendly, though a bit loud at times, small comfy family place in Kendall for fun times Karaoke and great colombian food 🤠. New top 10 spot foe the family!
Good food, massive portions, lots of items in the menu, slow service.
This was our first time in this wonderful small place. Attention 100%. They give you consomé de pollo as soon as you sit! For it's prices, the amount of food they serve is perfect. My wife ordered pechuga a la plancha en salsa de champiñones and I got Bandeja Paisa. Great elections! Taste was wonderful and fresh. Go there if you're really hungry because it's a lot of food. Definitely coming back to try more of their menu. Keep up the great service and congrats to the kitchen stuff.
The food is good, the service needs improvement when we went, the restaurant was not that busy, they took forever to bring our food, they only acknowledged that it was late when they brought it out (over an hour after).
