Delicious bold flavors. The restaurant was packed. Finding a parking spot will prove to be difficult. Getting seated is a little tricky but once you get a table prepare to titillate your taste buds. The server was very attentive. The garnachas are very yummy and a great starter. They do have a small coffee and dessert section you can also seat at and let the sugar rush begin.

I was expecting a real Guatemalan food but it get mix with some other seasoning, beans taste like canned beans so it don't filled my expectations i am Guatemalan so i know how everything should taste. But food was decent, service not that great. They don't have all the real Guatemalan foods. Overall i think 🤔 3 stars.

This place is always 100% worth it. The amount of food you get for the price is always generous and the quality of the food has never disappointed me in the times and years I’ve gone. Mouth watering! Perfect for when you want food that feels like it’s homemade

Im not sure if it is because the restaurant has new owners, but the quality is not the same anymore unfortunately. I purchased the long plantains and the 1st time they were burned. So i requested a new order and now they were extremely soft. The meat tasted raw and it was not well cooked. Plus they also charge for containers to go $1.00. Like who does that???

I am from Guatemala and can easily say this is the best Guatemalan restaurant in Miami. Food tastes authentic. This restaurant has a great menu. The staff was very polite as well.

So after seeing a fellow foodie friend mention their Rellenitos and seeing the pictures of them, I decided to try Antigua Guatemala. I mean, I love black beans and sweet plantains so together they must be perfect right? Well, after some "field research" I can confirm that they are! Even though my initial impression of them as a dessert was technically incorrect (they're actually an appetizer) I would say they can be eaten for either course. I mean, how else would you enjoy a "pastry" of the aforementioned sweet plantains and savory black beans? As far as the rest of my meal, I enjoyed another side of their black bean soup, more than a couple very large and perfectly crispy tostones (fried green plantains) and a large juicy slab of carne asada. It had a nice smokey flavor, though it was a little thicker than Argentinian churrasco. Of course, I had flan. (I wanted to try their pio quinto dessert, but they had run out. My waitress was really attentive and accurately recommended the flan as a tasty alternate.) With its hints of baked in sugar, it brought happiness to my taste buds. Of course I washed it down with a nicely potent cortadito...two, in fact! Located on Flagler Street, they have a private parking lot and both inside and outside dining. As mentioned with my flan, their staff was pleasant and very knowledgeable.

Have you ever had Guatemalan Tamales or Chilaquiles???? Wow!!!!! The tamales are similar to Salvadorian ones, wrapped in banana leafs and nice and moist. Antigua Guatemala Restaurant is a fun and delicious choice. Now here is the kicker.......the Chilaquiles were more like a Mexican style Dee Fried Chile Relleno. It was stuffed with fresh cheese, tomatoes and a tomato sauce, either corn chips or a corn tortilla that wrapped it all up and then in that famous egg batter. What a fun treat!!! I paired it with a fun beer from their country to keep it kosher 😉 I highly recommend this establishment for something new and exciting and very affordable. #miami #Guatemala #tamales
