As a New Yorker in Miami for a few days, it was hard for me to find good Asian food, let alone Thai food, that satisfies my standards. When I discovered this place on Yelp, I had to find out for myself if the food justified the hype. Upon arriving in the area, I had trouble spotting the establishment because it is a small place; however, we only had to wait a few minutes to grab a table. If a fast-paced atmosphere with loud music is not to your taste, then go elsewhere because this place embodied a high-energy, high table turnover business model. The waiter suggested the Fried Pork Belly for starters, and we ordered Massaman Curry, Khao Soi Gai, Beef Noodle Soup, and Thai Basil Rice for mains. The food arrived promptly, and the service was attentive. The Fried Pork Belly had the right amount of crisp and was not overdone. My mom would like it to be crispier, but I guess you can't please everyone. I had the Beef Noodle Soup, and it was pretty good. My dad, who seems to be a chronic critic, did not say a word and just continued eating his Thai Basil Rice, which was also a good sign. At the near end of our meal, we were given the check without asking for it, but considering this small establishment with about a dozen or so seatings, I understood a high table turnover is important. Coming from NYC, where there is a competitive Thai food scene, I can say that Lung Yai Thai Tapas is up to par with many good Thai restaurants in NYC. I'm glad to know where to get good Asian food whenever I'm back in Miami!

5/5 amazing food and service. They have an indoor and outdoor seating and can’t go wrong. The food is flavorful and would recommend the medium spicy option - mild is not spicy at all. You have order all the food at once and it comes pretty quick but definitely worth it.

This is one of my favorite Thai spots in the Miami area. I like how you are only able to order once. Portions are tapas sized which is nice because I can try lots of things. Best to come here in a large group and with people who are okay eating with some slice. Will continue to come back here. Good singha beer, in a bottle and maybe on draught.

Great place! Hole-in-the-wall kinda restaurant with great quick service, fantastic food, and good prices. We loved their Khao Soi and Pad Kee Mao (Drunken Noodles). Food came out quickly, wasn't too expensive for the area ($15 per dish) with generous serving sizes, and was really flavorful. Note, it's a very small restaurant with minimal seating. During popular times, there is a wait time to be seated. You can also order takeout from their website.

This place I found thru Yelp and I'm so glad I did. I have driven by so many times and never noticed it was here. This is authentic Thai food surprisingly located at Calle Ocho in a hole on the wall. Very small and cozy and they cook right in front of you so no shady business in the back. Everything looked delicious but I can only judge what I had and that was the dumplings, pork dumplings to be exact and the Pad Thai. I ordered pork pad Thai and it was so good I wanted another bowl. Soooo delicious and flavorful. The dumplings were good but nothing out of this world, yet again dumplings are not flavorful by nature when steamed but these were still very good. I will be coming back to try the famous chicken wings and small plates. 10/28/2023: food is still phenomenal…tried the mouthwatering crispy duck salad, the pork dumplings to die for and opted for pork Pad Thai this time around and it was just as delicious as last time. Service is still top notch but improved since they’re no longer rushing you out of there. There’s more sitting capacity, now outside and on the sidewalk. This joint is now a not so hidden gem in Calle Ocho but a gem nevertheless.

Good, authentic feeling Thai place. Great addition to the area, especially since there aren't many good Asian options. This one hits the spot. It's got a heavy "street food" vibe and setting. The crowd skews younger as a result. There's only outdoor seating (either on the sidewalk or on the side of the building that has a covering). No indoor seating. The food is elevated and higher quality than I expected. We got the steamed shrimp dumplings (just normal shumai that you can get elsewhere. I'd skip it), crispy duck salad (very good and flavorful), and spicy calamari salad (also quite good with good spice). For our entrees, we got the crab and pork dry noodles (quite tasty. My wife commented that she's only seen that dish in 1 other Thai restaurant, so it must pretty legit, and it was great.) and a chicken curry (a bit too sweet for us even though we asked for it to be super spicy). 4 star type of place on Yelp for me. Total bill was $100 for 2 ppl with 2 beers.

I wish the photos were better because I feel they don’t do the place justice. I knew from the moment I arrived this place was going to be good, from the look of the line of people waiting to eat here. Let me tell you… WORTH THE WAIT Where to begin: 🍖The ribs - delish 🍗The wings! - super 🍜Khoa Soi Noodles - the main reason we went here 🍚The fried rice with lump crab meat- *chefs kiss* 🍶The passion fruit sake - a little on the sweeter side but the only sake I will sip on over dinner. If you get the chance, try this place. You’ll be glad you did.

One of my all time favorite restaurants in Miami! A small local only spot that bring Calle Ocho to life. Walking in off the street you’re transported into an authentic Thai style food eatery. Everything on the menu is cooked fresh 10 feet away from you. The restaurant is family owned and operated. Really a perfect well rounded restaurant. Single order only! Make sure you over order or else you’ll be upset. Pro tip- Thai tea is amazing if you like sweet drinks.

Food is absolutely A1, 5 stars, 10 out of 10 etc. I’ve been coming here for years! And I crave it constantly. I recommend the Khao Soi, Pad See Ew, Duck Noodle Soup, all the curries, the duck salad—anything from there is great! The food is so good 90% of the time that you go there is a 30+ minute wait. My only issue is that for no other restaurant do I have to prep the newcomers with the fact that service won’t be great and to MAKE SURE you order in one go. They will not allow you to order again. They have one beer, one kind of red wine and one kind of white wine. Also the music they play is VERY loud and can be distracting, but it adds to the “charm.” The service is not a dealbreaker, it’s just unlike anything else I’ve experienced.
