Cuban food is a special treat for me. My family would come down to Florida every summer to see family and getting Cuban food was always a highlight. La Carreta was exceptional! Service was prompt and the food came out hot and fresh very quickly. I only wish I had a bigger appetite so I could have gotten some key lime pie. I'll have to make sure on my return I leave some room!

We came for a late dinner with the family and enjoyed the Cuban Paella, Milanesa, Salmon and Chicken Chicharron. It was a great experience we closed with the Tres Leches as a dessert. The food was good, the people were friendly and fast, and the atmosphere was familiar so will come again!

Great food, incredible afordable prices concidering the inflation. Ricardo provided outstanding customer service, the best i ever had in Miami. The food has the flavor of the typical food in Cuba. Very recommended!

I came for breakfast. I was a little disappointed with the breakfasts don’t come with cafe con leche and bacon or ham. They want to change for all that separate. Fine but the bacon was hard and cold and the French fries. So if you are going to charge extra. At least make it fresh They need to change the breakfast to how they used to be.

La Carreta is a classic and always a good comfort spot to bring friends and family to. Stopped in earlier this afternoon for lunch with my mom and abuela, and the food was absolutely delicious and so filling. It's a lot more affordable than other places you'd find in Miami, and the service has always been great, as well. We usually start with Tostones Rellenos and highly recommend them; they're crispy, flavorful, and fresh. I tried the margarita, La Guayabera, and it was really good. Come in on a Wednesday or Sunday for the Tamal en Casuela (tamal porridge), it's one of the family's favorites dishes here and is consistently amazing.

La Carreta is a popular Cuban restaurant located in the heart of Miami. As someone who loves to explore different cuisines, I decided to give it a try. One thing that stood out to me was that Cuban cuisine is not known for being heavily seasoned. This was evident in the dishes I tried at La Carreta. While the lack of seasoning might not be to everyone's taste, it was a unique experience to try something new and different. The yuca fries were a standout dish for me. They were hot and crispy, with a golden exterior that was perfectly seasoned. The accompanying aioli sauce was a delicious complement to the fries and added an extra layer of flavor. On the other hand, the ribeye steak was a bit of a disappointment. While it was cooked perfectly to my liking, the lack of seasoning made it taste a bit bland. I was hoping for a burst of flavor, but unfortunately, it fell short in that department. However, the quality of the meat was excellent and it was still an enjoyable dish overall. Overall, La Carreta is definitely worth a visit if you're in the mood for Cuban cuisine. The lack of heavy seasoning might take some getting used to, but the yuca fries alone are worth the trip. The ribeye steak might not be the most exciting dish on the menu, but it's still a solid option for meat lovers.

La Careta is an iconic restaurant in Miami. True authentic Cuban food that is inexpensive yet loaded with Latin flavors. A true traditional Cuban breakfast, lunch or dinner without it being fancy (No reservations needed). It's one of the restaurants that locals go to to get their cafesito (Expresso), black beans and rice or croqueta fix! Must try their Cuban sandwiches.

Stopped in for a quick lunch. We both had pan con bistec steak sandwiches which are huge & delicious. The service here was excellent and the waitress Miladys was a smoking hot red head that was very accommodating waiting on us. The prices here are reasonable & I would come back again. Thanks.
