Wow!
This place rocks I was very impressed by Jimmy's from the moment I walked in until I left. Once I walked in I was immediately greeted by my server who invited me to sit wherever I'd like.
The atmosphere here is lovely and the only tip I have on that note is bring a jacket because it was cold in there and people that know me will tell you I'm never cold...
They are very speedy and efficient here I'm not sure where they got their training from but please keep it up. If only some other places I frequent had this mentality and speed with service... 🥰
I ordered the 2 eggs scrambled with cheese, with bacon strips 🥓, country grits with cheese 🧀 and white bread. Let me stop you right here.. I've been to a boatload of breakfast joints around Miami and Jimmy's takes the cake! Literally everything I had was succulent, hot and came fresh to the table. I don't normally drink coffee but I did today and it was soooo good.. Most places don't really know how to properly make grits but Jimmy's has it down pat and on lock. 🙏
Breakfast has always had a special place in my heart since my late grandmother always fixed me breakfast whenever I would visit her no matter the time of day. I really go out of my way to find breakfast and it's not normally in the early morning hours. This morning I was up early and wanted to see what else I could find. Jimmy's was a place that really made me feel at home and the food brought me flashbacks with my grandma. I'll never forget it!
So when a place really rocks out with the breakfast they deserve the recognition. Jimmy's was super on-point with the cleanliness, hospitality, order accuracy, store maintenance was well upkept, food quality superb and speed with service. Those are the main things that really deserve 5 stars in my book. I highly encourage you to check Jimmy's Eastside Diner out I don't think you'll be disappointed!
Good breakfast food. My first time at this diner. Parking was limited so I had to pay for parking on the street. When you walk in you have to find your own table. The menu is limited but the price is reasonable, so I ordered the 2 egg, bacon, and pancake. Boy was I surprised, the portion was big, the egg was fluffy, and the pancakes was to die for. I felt like I was at home. Great place to go too for breakfast.

Delicious. The food was great, huge portions. I enjoyed the bannana pancakes and the omelette.
Good cheap breakfast! Banana pancakes, sausage gravy with biscuits and grits all great. Definitely coming back

Dennis is a nice Greek man who owns the place. Good burger, breakfasts and plenty of parking. Always owned by Greeks who know food!
Exactly what I hoped it would be. Plastic laminated menus, orange plastic tumblers. Big servings and small prices. I couldn't finish my cheesesteak, which was excellent by the way. And for a greasy spoon kinda place it was remarkably clean. A jukebox would hit the spot.
Best Omlette in the City. This is the best old school diner in the city. Whether it's omlettes, burgers & fries, or any of their specials, you can't go wrong at Jimmy's.
Best Diner in South Florida. This great place for breakfast will leave you feeling real good inside. You will probably want to take nap by the time you get home. Jimmy's has a great friendly diner atmosphere and the menu is done perfectly. I always get the "Trailer park special" which is biscuits and gravy and eggs. The service is quick and easy, the prices are spot on, and if you come on the weekend you will likely have to wait a couple of minutes for a table. But no worries all the waitresses are fast as hell and you will likely be seated in no time.
Throwback diner vibes for sure. If you are from the northeast, Jimmy's will give you nostalgia. The customer service is attentive and the waitress offered suggestions. I tried the pecan pancake and it was average. I guess I though the pecan would be broken in pieces, they gave me whole pecan in the pancake. Next time, crush the pecans before they hit the batter for a better pancake. I ordered to go the tuna sandwich and that was a great choice. It is made fresh with green onion and regular onion and iceberg lettuce and tomato was super fresh. The bread wasn't overly toasted either and the steak fries were perfection. Food was priced reasonably.
I love Jimmy's. The food is excellent! The staff is wonderful! Iris is the best! It's a very special place here. I wish I had the opportunity to eat here everyday.... but it can be a little pricey... but its to be expected in Miami but that's all restaurants in Dade... The portions and price are a value for the location, service, and food quality.
We haven't been here since before Covid. It was good to be back. The same staff were there, and they were as attentive as always. The owners are always friendly and welcoming. We were there today for a late breakfast/ lunch.
Being a Tuesday , it was on the slow side, and not many people were there. It was also an hour before they closed at 3:00 pm. I ordered my fave, eggs with Miami ham steak, and my daughter had the tuna melt with fries. My hashbrowns were overcooked and kind of dried out, but the ham steak and eggs were good! The Tuna Melt wasn't that good per my daughter. It could've been an off day for them
It happens. Service was quick and attentive.
Parking was available right in front of the restaurant. They have a big lot for parking, including wheelchair accessibility.
I absolutely love this family style diner, reminds me of amazing New York diners with amazing food… but in Miami!
The owners and staff are delightful and very caring for their patrons. They do close early, and stop serving food 30 min to closing, so plan accordingly…. It’s worth it!!
Wonderful people. Kind, and fast. My wife said the hasbrowns were the best she has had in her life. Coffee cup was never empty, and we were never waiting for anything. I really enjoyed the small town, old diner vibe. Very enjoyable experience I highly recommend stopping by this establishment. We will return.
Jimmy's is what it is. Fast service, okay food and coffee. Plates are giant and have classic breaskfast choices from any kind of eggs to pancakes. prices are decent, and the taste is good. I always go for the eggs, either the ham and cheese or an omelet. Both are great, I recommend the feta and spinach omelet. We drink lots of coffee, so we like the refill option. They have a place inside (always VERY cold!!!! bring a jacket) so i like the outdoors space.
Nothing fancy so come when you are in a rush and don't want to spend lots of money (there is also plenty of parking 😉)

My family came here for brunch on Saturday. I’ve never been. We were sat immediately. I love the placemats.
I love the menu. Plenty of choices.
It’s got a real diner feel to it.
Everything was delicious! I got a spinach, onion and feta cheese omelette with hash browns. My son got a waffle and hash browns, his girlfriend got the biscuits and gravy, my husband got a waffle, hash browns, and bacon, and my daughter got the chicken tenders with fries. I thought the chicken tenders would be your typical frozen, cheap chicken tenders. But WOW! These are homemade and they are literally the best chicken tenders I’ve had in my life. We all tried them. I’m not a big chicken tenders person. But I think this is probably the best thing on the menu. The coffee is very good too.
My omelette was huge! I actually ate half of it for brunch and the other half for dinner. That meal lasted me for the entire day!
The waitress was nice and she was good, but she seemed to forget about us at the end. We waited a long time for boxes and the check.
Altogether our bill was $105 before tip. Not bad for 5 people, 4 coffees, 1 soda, 4 hash browns, 2 waffles, 2 eggs, bacon, grits, biscuits and gravy, omelette, coleslaw, chicken tenders and fries.
We’ll definitely be back though.
Place the local’s eat and hang out. There is seating for large families. That’s important for those of us on vacation. I had the NY corn beef hash and man was it a plate. Next pancake’s, if you can’t eat a large portion only order one, one pancake is a meal! Biscuit and gravy was the perfect size. Come in hungry leave with a sleepy smile 😃
Fresh out the airport and was looking for a bite to eat and Googled "breakfast Miami" Here was 1 of many options. I ordered the steak breakfast and was satisfied here plates are large. And that is a plus. Coffee was hot also. Very much a friendly environment u can tell they aim to please! Jimmy's I shall return!
Visiting and Google searched breakfast spots nearby and came upon Jimmy's. It reminds me of Southern hospitality, in the sense, their staff are friendly, personable and willing to go out their way to make our baby feel special.
Our waitress was excellent and the food was impeccable with more than your normal portion size at diners. We ordered #1 & #3 off the breakfast deals, western omelette & kids menu hot cakes.
I am certain we will return for breakfast before end of our vacation.
