Since its establishment in 1996 in the area of Miami Beach known as North Beach, the Argentinian Steakhouse, Las Vacas Gordas or “The Fat Cows” in English, has remained a traditional food venue in the city for savoring the luscious and soft Kobe-style meat typical of Japan from Kobe the capital city of Hyōgo Prefecture, whose cattle strain is known as Wagyu a breed of Japanese stock.
As specialists in the grill culinary arts, this restaurant’s portions are large and usually accompanied with wines from its own cellar which boasts a good assortment of Argentinian, Uruguayan, European and American wines.
It is a cozy place, where families and friends will be at ease. The pleasant manners of its staff and the up close and personal service provided by its owners make it a special must-see establishment.
Excellent food, one of the best meat I've ever tried. Definitely worth to be back, and we will. We had to wait for the food for a while, but the food is worth it.
More the I was specter. I went to las VACAS GORDAS whit a mix feeling for all the reviews I saw in here but !!! When I got there was great experience the service was no the best ever but really good no long a guy present in self as the general manager and talk to us and explain the restaurant in 17 years open which I thought that is really long for a restaurant ....never had a gm and they are changing the service around Marcelo you doing a great job I going to be back for more food was delicious I recommend to try this place

Best Steakhouse in Miami. I have been coming to this restaurant for over 10 years and it has always been amazing. The sweet-breads are the best I've had, the sausage is great, the churasco is always fantastic and perfectly cooked, and there is no chimichurri better. Yes, the waitstaff gets busy becuase it is a great restaurant and they get very full. Sit back relax and enjoy your evening, why the rush.
And do not leave without trying the dulce de leche creps.
Ignore the other comments is it the best!
WOW!! I really have no idea what the bad reviewers are talking about. My husband and I just had the best and biggest churrasco and chicken breast's in the world! The service was excellent, the food... The chimichurri sauce...I'm trying to look for more words other than excellent and the best to express how good they where. Totally going back and of course we definitely recomend it
You will not be disapointed!!!. We have been eating at Las Vacas Gordas for over 10 years, and there has never been a less-than-great experience. It does get crowded and the service sometimes may be a bit slow, but it is acceptable when a restaurant is as popular as this one. The food is and always has been top notch. We even go with our grade-school-aged kids and always have an excellent meal!
Parillada. The pile of meaty goodness i was served was very tasty, certainly you want to be sharing this with someone despite what the waiter would like you to believe about it being 'not too much' the blood sausage was very very good, the wine was lovely
its not so easy to find as it off the main strip a bit but well worth the walk.
They have some super expensive cuts in here too, i would love to try and them and they made a good sale but my wallet wasnt stretching to that last time
Will definitely go back!. My family and I ate at Las Vacas Gordas for my mom's birthday yesterday and it was great! They had the best tasting empanadas de carne that I've had in Miami by far. For my main dish I ordered the Bife de Chorizo and I loved it. The service was quick and the staff was very friendly. I would recommend this restaurant to all my friends.
The food and service here are top notch. Everything my friends and I had was excellent. The wine list was impressive. We were very satisfied with our choice which paired well with our tomahawk and skirt steak which was cooked to perfection. The sides were delicious and the chimichurri was phenomenal. Even dessert was perfect. No idea why so many bad reviews? This was one of the best dining experiences I’ve had in a long time. Thank you for a lovely evening and we can’t wait to be back! 🤌🏼🥩🍷
This is the place we have been visiting occasionally for almost 20 years! I’m surprised by negative reviews cause :
1. Service is great, our server was attentive and done everything to take care of us
2. Food is great ! Skirt steak is awesome, truffle fries is great, grilled cheese is delicious!
3. They had 1/2 off bottles of wine , Argentinian cab was great !
All in all great experience, we definitely recommend !
Wonderful chef, food was amazing, tasted really good, wonderful service too!
The food is as authentic as it gets. Minus the white rice. Argentinians don't really eat white rice. But I get it.
The skirt is the best out of any place that still serves it. The russian salad is only a couple notches below mom's. And the seeetbreads are thin and crispy as they should be.
Service is also friendly and very attentive.
Absolutely worth it every time!!! Good quality meat is hard to find.
