Freshest fruit straight from the Redlands. Best mango salad I've had. Oscar behind the counter is the best and always helps me concoct some choice juice blends.
My great grandparents move to North Miami in 1905 with my 5 year old grandmother. My mom was born there in 1930. Johnny uncle open the store in 42. I have be going there since the mid 70s. Lived in Sunny Isles thru the 80s. In Broward now. I go there anytime I am anywhere near Miami. Johnny Oscar are amazing. As far as price there is nothing expensive about Athens but the rent they pay on the Beach. All fresh hand selected by Johnny.. Mango season in Florida you will never find what you get here in a grocery store. Don't even ask how Johnny prepares his papaya juice.. The coolers there are packed with crushed ice. Great fruit ain't cheap and cheap fruit ain't even good. I will spend a couple hundred dollars on juice fruit salad nectar and banana on the side. Heavy papaya and mango in season. There is no place in all of Florida even close to Athens. And yes cottage cheese and nectar is amazing.
The best juice on Collins Ave. The family owned shop is very hospitable. The blueberry coffee cake is gluten free and dairy free. I enjoyed the conversation and my custom juice. Thank you!
Tasty smoothies! A wide selection of juices which you can mix and match. Employees are friendly and willing to make suggestions/recommendations. Lots of additional optional add-ins (almond butter, bee pollen, etc.) A word of caution, though: since the smoothies are so customizable, they are only as good as the combination you come up with.
I literally come here every day for Acai bowls. I have had Acai all over the city, and Athens has by far the freshest, cleanest acai and the absolute best fruit in Miami. I'm addicted. And Oscar and John are the best. Do yourself a favor and have a unique experience at this juice bar, the first and oldest in all of Miami Beach.
Just this past Memorial Day I was blessed to find this juicer, seconds from my hotel in Miami.. and till this day.. I still crave their yummy smoothies with their b-12 add ons! Also, they have the best Elixirs! Definitely a place to try on a hot day.. staff is so friendly and personable!
