This local sushi establishment is not too far off the main strip, attracting local law enforcement as well as a few tourists. What makes this place great is their fresh sushi for a fraction of other restaurant prices. I was stunned to see how cheap everything was. The only thing I didn’t particularly enjoy was the salmon cream cheese role, which lacked much crunch and vegetables for me (it was a bad roll choice for me). The unagi nigiri was absolutely fantastic, and the octopus was a larger portion than expected. I also enjoyed the flavor of the spicy tuna crispy rice. Everything was made to order in front of me, and it was served in five minutes or less. They pride themselves on cheap, fresh sushi in minutes!
Good cheap sushi. Also open till late and deliver for a small fee so it's perfect. They even cater I think. Their rice burgers are good too.
I have very high standards for sushi- being from Vancouver BC and travelling around North America. This place is fresh, fast, cheap, and good quality. If you want great sushi for cheap.... Make the trip. I'm happy I did!
Great atmosphere. Fresh food. Good price for sobe. Russian girls are the best there:)
This place is THE BEST.. I've been to a bunch of sushi/japanese restaurant ( including Iron Sushi ) around Miami, most of them very high end and expensive. I've got to say that the best sushi I've had so far has been at Hiro's Sushi Express and their prices aren't pretentious. I've been to the one on Washington only and the service there has always been acceptable. It isn't a restaurant, so why would you expect the service one is rendered at a restaurant? It's a grab and go kind of place where the food is actually, in my opinion, the best and could easily be served at any high end sushi bar. It's fresh, it looks appealing and beautifully rolled, I love it and you will too. Iron sushi seems to be a favorite, but it doesn't even compare to Hiro's for me.
Decent Sushi. I like this place because they deliver late. I can order late night and know that they will deliver. That is imporatant
It~s ok but cheap. Maybe not for sushi
but the chicken terrydon is a good deal
and the salad is ok (better than iron-sushi)
but iron-sushi is better for sushi
While visiting South Beach on a rainy evening, dinner was had at a Japanese fast food restaurant called Hiro's Sushi Express. I started my meal with a cup of miso soup served in a styrofoam cup. Next up was a shrimp teriyaki box. This bento contained shrimp cooked with mushrooms, rice, vegetables, and an orange slice. The shrimp were tasty but the rest of the box was somewhat boring. The vegetables were very plain and the rice was standard brown rice. I've enjoyed better Japanese fast food elsewhere in Miami at Iron Sushi , but Hiro's wasn't that bad. They gave a good sized portion of food for less than the price of a milkshake up the street at Shake Shack...
