When i moved to mesa from new york, i hadn’t had filipino food before so i decided to try it out. little did i know i found one of my favorite spots in the whole area, i became a regular quickly. i am satisfied every single time i come. my go to is the liempo (pork belly) with sweet sour cucumber because pork belly is one of my favorite cuts. but each menu item i have tried was good. i have digestive problems so the barbecue chicken plate is always a good pick if you struggle with that like me. not to mention prices are great and you really get your moneys worth. wholly grill is the holy grail!
Good food and priced decently. Been going here for years!
Filipino restaurants are far and in between in the PHX Valley. Having a place that will appeal to most white folk because it's grilled meat is very nice to have as a suggestion. Can't go wrong with grilled meats...
Pork Skewers are great. The beef can be tough, but still good (it's a thin cut). There's 3 different kinds of pork belly: Liempo (bbq, cut/chopped), Kawali (fried, big chopped pieces), Lechon (weekends only).
Steamed veggies are okay. Try the eggplant salad/Talong (it's grilled eggplant, shredded, then mixed up with some stuff) or Atchara (pickled, shredded papaya and carrots). Mac Salad is sweet and creamy.
I love this place. The salmon and BBQ chicken are my go to. The Halo Halo is awesome aswell.
Edit: Guess their Halo Halo game is off,l.

Very tasty and authentic Philippino food like my mother in law made. The food brought back memories. I just wish the food would come out faster so I don't have to wait to sink my face into the deliciousness of Wholly Grill!
Great Filipino food! Got the pork bbq skewers with steamed veggies. Got to try some more of the menu.
I last ate Philippino food at a former restaurant at Guadalupe and Dobson. It was an enjoyable and welcome experience. Wholly Grill is not similar but I enjoyed it. Hopefully I will be trying more, soon. With this and two other restaurants the Mekong Plaza food court have made a favorable impression as a good place to go for three types of food. Philippines, Chinese and Vietnamese. At Wholly Grill I especially enjoyed the cucumber side and after finishing put the rice in side dish for additional flavor.
Everything was piping hot, flavorful, fresh, and delicious. All the meats were tender and delicious. My boyfriend thinks they have the best bangus. Friendly staff. The food hall got hot as it got later, so get a few extra napkins to wipe your forehead, and enjoy the fresh calamansi juice.
Found this little Filipino food in the middle of this Korean marketplace. Awesome authentic flip food. Locve the lechon plate!
Some amazing simple food so much flavor and the staff is friendly defiantly recommend this place to anyone who likes grilled food.
