Yen Ching Mandarin Restaurant is a well-known hole in the wall Asian restaurant that has been around in Mesa, Arizona for almost 30 years, and this is our first time enjoying it! After walking past the waiting area, I did not expect to see and feel a elegant and relaxing atmosphere. We ordered shrimp and snow peas, Yen Ching signature Mongolian beef, what's a side of Crab puffs and sweet and sour soup. Every item ordered was to imperfection, and so was our service. I can't wait to eat at this establishment again. So glad we made it in before they close!
Celebrated my friend's birthday there, and we had a great time. Food was very good, prices were reasonable, service was excellent, and the people waiting on our table were friendly too. Would definitely recommend this restaurant to others! 👍👍
Take out lunch today of Cashew Chicken. Can't wait to return. This is the real deal! Amazing food, very ample portions and great price. My new favorite Asian food. Awesome job!!!
My husband had almond children. He was used to the deep fried version with thinly sliced almonds. He had the healthy version. Not deep fried. My shrimp with vegetables was great, but please cut up the broccoli in smaller pieces... no knives to cut up...
But waiting for the bill was the worst.. waiting at least 10 min.
I will start by saying I’m not the type that writes reviews, whether good or bad.
I’ve lived in Mesa for so long and havent found chinese food that I truly like, until I ordered from Yen Ching. The food is really really good. My favorite is Sesame Chicken and most places that I’ve ordered from taste like chunks of fried batter, but not at Yen Ching. My husband and I usually order carry out, but have eaten in the restaurant a couple of times. The customer service is top notch and that’s important to me since I work in customer service type healthcare setting.
The staff is super friendly. The interior and exterior are clean. Overall, I love this place! If you have not tried it, do it!
We got 4 takeout meals from this restaurant. The portions were huge and the food was excellent. I especially liked the won-ton soup!! Never had any quite like it before! You definitely should give this place a try!!
I've owned my home in north east mesa for 18 years and I have never eaten here until today. I was in the mood for chineese and wanted JandM my normal spot but they were closed and I had to try somewhere different. I am very happy I did!
This is my first time having Cashew Chicken and it is amazing. The sauce is great and I love it. We ordered 3 different meals for take out (1 for each of us) and everyone was very happy.
I found my new favorite Chinese food place and I will be back very shortly. The staff is also very friendly and the restaurant is very clean
I love this place!! I've been coming here for over 30 years and it's always consistant. My favorite is the sizzling rice soup. The male waiter has been there forever is always so friendly and happy!! Highly recommend this place.
Very good food, but small portions. Very comfortable. Would give 5 stars if they were "vet friendly".
