I liked this place. Good selection of beer, nice patio, and surprisingly good food. They stick to beer, and while they may not be the saucer, it would still take you a little while to get through everything. They support the local breweries and they are locally owned. The first time I went was a little disappointed.....they were out of a lot of their advertised beers. I don't like choosing two or three times-but they didn't appear to have a lot of storage room for inventory either. I've never had the pleasure of being there when it's actually busy, but they're a little slow on service at times.
I'd definitely come here again. Sat on the patio, which was surprisingly peaceful for being by Poplar. Big, big beer selection. Gyro was pretty good, but not great. Had bruschetta and tabbouleh and they were quite satisfying. Worth noting that this place is 21+, and they don't open until 4
Note that the deli and pick-for-yourself package area close at 6, leaving only the "parlor" (bar) open later. Food can still be ordered at the parlor, but a runner has to go check if to-go bottles/cans are available. Plenty of smokers on the patio, and inside smelled like it. But, exotic beer selection at fair prices, and friendly staff.
We visited here yesterday for the first time and it was an awesome experience. We each had a beer (400 to choose from)) and shared a sandwich. Delicious. We met the owner and his father-in-law (who is also the cook), both super friendly guys. We will definitely return and support this great local place.

Some of the best sandwiches I've had in Memphis. The beer selection is excellent. Falafel, tabbouleh, and hummus were all tasty. Looking forward to going back.

UPDATE: Lucchesi's also has a deli in the building with an entrance facing Poplar Ave that I have driven past countless times without thinking about it.
I finally stopped by their deli yesterday to get something for lunch, and quickly realized I should have stopped by the deli years ago! Somehow, it has slipped completely under my radar for years, but they will now be a go-to spot for me!
I love a good muffaletta, so of course I had to try their Memphaletta. Absolutely delicious, and I highly recommend giving it a try!
Their selection is great, and I will be working my way through the menu!
They also have an excellent beer selection that looks interesting as well.
Go by there and give them a shot! They have a few tables inside the deli
Oh, side note. Their menu is posted on their website, and they do take pickup orders by phone. Currently they do not take orders through the website, so look them up and get on the phone for a to-go order.

I have now had the opportunity to try The Infidel and The Grizzle. Both are awesome!
The Infidel is a new take on a Cuban sandwich as a panini. A little spicier and cheesier than your standard Cuban, and it's all the better for it! If you like a good Cuban sandwich, try this one! Your taste buds will thank you!
The Grizzle is a panini similar to a Cuban but is made with Roast Beef, Turkey, Pepper Jack, Jalapenos, Bruschetta, Hot Sweet Mustard, and Mayo. As a personal preference, I had mine with no jalapenos. The combination could not have been better! 10/10! I should add that as a purely personal preference, next time, I will probably have it without the bruschetta which contains a good bit of raw onion. I love cooked onions but am not a fan of them on the raw side.
I should also add that they have a huge variety of beers in their selection, and they also have a bar just around the corner with a big patio. Great place to relax with your sandwich and beverage of your choice! PLUS! Well behaved dogs are welcome on the patio.

This is one business split into two rooms. The front room is where they store all the bear and create the sandwiches. It looks like a small grocery store. The back room is the bar and patio.
They have a small selection of drafts that taste great and a large selection of cans and beers. Staff was friendly. They even let you pick what movie you want to watch.
I ordered the Big Bad Blake with Voodoo chips. The chips taste amazing and the food was good.
Everyone who works there is great! The patrons are great! The beer is GREAT!!! YOU HAVE TO DO IT !!!
Our favourite place since moving to Memphis. It's got fantastic atmosphere, super friendly staff, DELICIOUS food, and a huge rotating tap. I love the muffalettas, the gyros, the bruschetta, the baba ghanouj, the Reuben. Everything I've tried, honestly, so I'm sure you can't go wrong with the menu. Do yourself a favour and check this place out.
I’m part of a group of old guys that meet here every Wednesday for lunch, fellowship and a few brewskis. The food is great. The beer selection is the best I’ve seen, and the Luchessi family is world class. You won’t be disappointed.
