I had never tried Korean BBQ, but I am glad I tried it here! You can get traditional Korean dishes such as Bulgogi, Bibimbap, and Samgyeopsal that are cooked and brought to your table. Alternatively, you can get a combination dinner for your choice of 3 entrees (also comes with steamed white rice and choice of 3 sides that change daily). ‼️Please be aware that grills for the combination plates are first come first served‼️Overall the food and service was amazing. Would recommend trying it, and I will definitely be coming back. Look at spending between $10-$20 per person.
ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!! Soo delicious!! Had the Galbi meal! SO TASTY
Stopped at this Korean spot near the University of Memphis and it was interesting. They allow you to cook your own food or you can order a dish they cook in the kitchen. I chose a dish that was cooked in house, the bibimbap. It was good and and nice sized portion and was served with a side of rice. I want to go back and try the meals that you can cook yourself and will do that in the future.
Quick and perfectly-packed to-go orders. I personally love their sides, especially the potato salad which is somewhat unique. Easy to get in and out of during lunch, parking is adequate. I did notice they added 18% gratuity to my order. I didn't mind, but heads up.
This was my first time trying Korean cuisine. I was pleasantly surprised! The restaurant wasn’t very busy during the time we went so the server had plenty of time to explain the menu items to us. I was in a party of 6 and she made the perfect suggestions to each of us. The mango soju was very good! I wanted to go out and bought a few bottles afterwards. I played it safe with it being my first time trying it and went with the Chadol Baki. It was so good that I cleaned my plate! I’m definitely keeping this on my list of food places and will be recommending it to others as well!
DWJ is my favorite Korean spot in Memphis. I now know that each location has slightly different menus. The best part about the highland menu are the grill combos!! It was almost too much for two, and that may be because of the goonmandu dumplings.
I picked the combo B and that allowed us to get the thinly sliced meat in the chadalbaki (sp). Three meats plus the eggs, corn and sprouts and you get to pick 3 sides. My favorite is the radish kimchi.
You can also try it with a sochu cocktail
Really enjoyed the food. The County finally lifted some of the covid restrictions and we where happy to support a local restaurant. Seating was limited, but they offered take-out.
This was an amazing experience. My family and I thoroughly enjoyed this.
This was the best experience in my life I love the ramen and the kimchi 10/10 recommendation on the soup. It’s like Heaven on a bowl. (try the stir fry too!) If you never had Korean food you should definitely come here its very good and i recommend it to everyone!
p.s (you should play some classic Korean music in the background or play some type of tv entertainment like Anime or Korean talk shows.

I tried this place for the first time today. I've never had this type of food before. It was definitely different, but not too bad. The dumplings were good. I liked the beef and chicken and corn. It was Interesting but ok. There was only 1 server. There wasnt a lot of people there, but the start up time was slow. It took a while to get the setup to start cooking our food and the waitress forgot about bringing me and my son's drink. She was nice though. Laid back atmosphere.
