Well worth the wait. I have lived in Memphis all of my 37 years and always heard of Jack Pirtles Chicken. There was even one in my neighborhood but i just never went there. Being the big eater that i am when i recently heard of the chicken fried steak sandwich with gravy at Jack Pirtles i was determined to try one immediatly. They are great and just what i imagined. It comes with slaw and pickles but i would opt for no slaw. The sandwich is hot, messy and delicious. The staff at the Mt. Moriah location was friendly but the dining area was a little unclean. It was also after lunch rush so i cant hold that against them. I cant wait to try more things from their menu since they are famous for the fried chicken. I definatly recommend them.
And finally… the infamous steak sandwich was… actually really delicious! I can see why people recommend it so highly! It looks icky, but believe me when I say that the flavors meld together so perfectly. Pirtle’s is no high class establishment, but it is clean, quick, and delicious! If you go, be sure to try the steak sandwich and the biscuits with gravy! :)

Not the fastest drive-thru. Food is absolutely delicious! I wish I could have it more often but it gives me a headache when I eat it. I'll still eat it a few times a year. SO GOOD!
Had not been to this location in a while. Stopped by and there was no line. I placed my order and it was wonderful. Fresh, hot and delicious.

I went yesterday , went thru drive thru on my way to Hard Rock Cafe, which I've reviewed.I ordered the 6 pcs liver dinner, an a thigh an two apple pies. The livers, fries an biscuits melt I ya mouth. The livers, fries and apple pies was fried perfectly , not burned, sweet tea was delicious too, lady at drive thru was great a hilarious, it's a long story, maybe I'll elaborate later. LOL
All in all great food, great price, great service thru da drive thru they deserve

The food here is great! I eat the livers and gizzards. The dinner box is perfect. Thumbs up on the biscuits!
Took a while to receive food. Then we were missing items and had to drive all the way back! Tenders don’t taste the same anymore, like they changed the recipe.

I ordered 3 drumsticks got 2 thighs and 1 drumstick. Had to go back thru drive thru due to dining room is not open and get my order right. The lady I think is manager was nice and apologetic. She is very nice. Location MT. Moriah
