Sweden Kream is one of those places that you might pass right by if you didn't know anything about it. I know I did a few times. It basically sits right on the corner of Jackson Ave. and National. It's a tiny little building with tons of small signs. When you walk in there are only a couple of places to sit. You can also walk up to their window and order as well. Everything here is cooked to order so you will have to chill out a few minutes before you get your food.
And you are going to mcdonalds?. 1/3 pound burger! so good! five bucks for fries and a drink. its one of those small gems you have to love!
Great Shakes. Excellent strawberry milkshake. I want to go back to try a burger.
Sweden Kream makes a burger that you won’t forget. It’s salt and pepper seasoned and griddle fried. They serve it on a Wonder Bread bun and fix it perfectly with the toppings of your choice. It’s tender, and juicy with the perfect balance of greasiness and natural juices. It melts in your mouth and gets better with every bite. For the price, I’m not sure you’re going to find anything else in the Memphis area that can compete.
Sweden Kream, despite its name, makes the best hamburger in Memphis. The cheeseburger and fries cost just over $5, which is a pretty good deal compared to national fast food chains, whose quality isn't nearly as good.
This place should be advertised as the best burger in town!!!! Huey's and kooky canuck got nothing on Sweeden Kream! Burgers are perfectly cooked and full of flavour, they have regular and seasoned fries and both are delicious. They have plenty of options to choose from in their menu such as hot wings, nachos, hotdogs, corn dogs, hot tamales, philly cheese steak, etc. If you order on site, the wait is a little long but you can always call and place your order over the phone. The shakes and snow cones are amazing in the summer, we are a fan of Sweeden Kream, it's a hidden gem in Memphis! Come to Sweden kream You won't regret it seriously!
Food was excellent. I got the cheese burger and fries with a strawberry milk shake. Everything was really good and flavorful. Only reason I’d give 4 stars rather than 5 is we did have to wait quite a while. We ordered two burger combos, two milkshakes, and a kids grilled cheese combo. We waited about 30 minutes on our food even though we were the only customers there . We also visited during a non rush hour time (3pm) . Don’t stop here if you’re in a rush, but it’s well worth the wait if you have time.
Yup worth the visit and not that long of a wait. Food was really good. Place is old but not dirty. And didnt know there was seating inside. That burger was so good the double was so much food could only get through half. And yes the shake are on point!!
I remember we went to this exact location every Friday night. It was 1968, and the curfew was in effect in Memphis because Dr. King had been shot. The sirens were going off to clear the streets as we waited for our food!
We didn’t go home without the food, though.
This place is a fond childhood memory for me. I live in Fort Collins, Colorado these days, but this place is timeless.
Delicious and hot as usual. The food will always be good if you got time order first then go pick it up. Is always hot as hell!! 🥰🥰 I ate all.tge corn dogs so.....
Great little corner burger stop. Expect to wait awhile as all food is made to order but Bayliss and National is a pretty busy interaction that makes for some good people watching. Lots of regulars were waiting in the parking lot with us and there was a great sense of community. Wings and burger were very tasty but the malt and shaved ice will be the reason we return!
The best burgers and the world's best snow cones ever!! Better than Jerry's and cheaper too!! I go almost every day except sun and mon that only because they r closed!!
I came to this establishment about 30mins before closing and they were very accommodating. They prepared my food to perfection. I met the owner and staff very nice people. I will be going back.
My new shaved ice/sno cones place to go!!! It's so convenient as in the location for me! And they do make some 🔥 fire sno cones with or without the ice cream....and his prices are absolutely 💯 👌 perfect! I don't mind the wait if there is one but they're usually fast with any order and I've got no complaints! If you live in this area and you haven't heard of it NOW YOU HAVE 38122!! GO GET YOU SOME SWEDEN KREAM!!! ITS THE GO TO PLACE LOCATED AT THE CORNER OF HOMER AND NATIONAL STREET!! 😋 SO GOOD!!! 5 🌟 🤩 ⭐️!!!
Used to eat here as a teen in the early 2000s and was surprised after a recent Google search that they were still open. Went there today and the food was still awesome! Some of the biggest burgers in town and everything was fresh and hot!! The shakes are just whipped to perfection! This is one of the best little places in Memphis to eat at. Its definitely worth many return trips and subsequent belly rubs of pure satisfaction afterwards!
