This is one of those rare places where people steal Dine in. The ambience is great for a conversation and the lunch specials come out fairly quickly. Great old style dining in Chinese restaurant right off the interstate. Professional traditional full service.
Delicious food, excellent value and friendly service. I am gluten-free (allergy) and the kitchen makes an amazing fried rice minus the soy sauce for me. They are careful about cross-contamination which I appreciate. Thanks Formosa!
I appreciate the service and care that this restaurant extends - they are patient with orders and helpful. My one recommendation is to devein the shrimp in the shrimp fried rice. Also, ensure that friend foods has as much of the oil trained as possible. I appreciate that the vegetables taste fresh and are not overcooked.
Food was pretty good. The restaurant was nice and clean. Staff was friendly. The Rangoon was amazing. We ordered pepper steak, it was good. Chicken fried rice was good. They packed the container. The Mongolian Beef wasn't that great though. I will go back.
This was my first time here. I ordered the vegetable lo mien and spring roll. The spring roll was crisp and flavorful without being too chewy. The clean, relaxing atmosphere, the delicious entree, and the attentive server made for an excellent dining experience.
The food is delicious here and has been for years. They are consistent. I worked in the neighborhood for sixteen years. Very nice people as well.
This is my and my husband favorite chinese restaurant in town! If we eat other chinese food we always compare it with Formosa and this place wins every time, every single item in the menu is awesome and we love the atmosphere. My very favorites are the sesame chicken and the veggie or chicken mushoo, Also my favorite hit and sour soup, nothing compares to it. Is the best one period! Lunch specials are great from 12 to 2 pm and they give you generous portions. We have been spoiled by Formosa and come in everytime we want chinese food even though we live in midtown, is worth the trip!!!
FORMOSA GOES ABOVE AND BEYOND IN ORDER TO RENDER AN ENCORE EXPERIENCE EACH AND EVERY TIME! THE CUISINE IS MOST EXCELLENT. THE SERVICE IS SUPERLATIVE. THE ATMOSPHERE IS MOST PLEASANT. ALL THINGS CONSIDERED, FORMOSA IS A MAGNIFICENT MEAL CHOICE! MY EVERY EXPECTATION WAS EXCEEDED!
After 18 months of living in Memphis we finally found a place that has great Chinese Takeout. Had Wonton Soup, Spring Rolls, Shrimp with Lobster Sauce and Hunan Shrimp (Spicy). Everything was excellent. Big portions and it was fairly priced.
Will be coming back for more !!!
I love this Chinese restaurant! I used to work here many many years ago and I’ve Always had my Favorite dish. It still Taste superb!!! Whenever I’m in my hometown, this is certainly a restaurant I’m frequenting!! Thumbs Up!!
