I finally tried this place after hearing about it for years. It definitely lives up to the hype! Their lunch buffet is full of the best tofu dishes around! It was wonderful!
Everything is amazing. My group ordered a ton of food and they were so friendly and gave us extra soup and sauces, then carried it to the car for us. Absolutely the sweetest staff and I highly recommend this place. All the food is delicious and so well priced.
Went to this place yesterday . The overall ambience is decent . The service is a bit on slow side as they have jus a couple of people that serve food, but food steals the show. Very good food and they have a good range of vegetarian options as well !!! Great restaurant to visit !!!
Sort of a run down, hole in the wall type establishment, but they have the best tofu curry in Memphis. The lunch buffet is very good and reasonably priced. If I lived closer I would probably eat there every day. As it is, my family and I journey in from the burbs to midtown at least once a week.

Yum :). If you're looking for a beautiful Asian restaurant, this isn't your place. But most Asian places in Memphis have gone away from the decked out restaurant look. I have found that they haven't deviated from yummy food though! Pho Hoa Binh serves quick, made to order, piping hot, good food. So far I've been there twice and have not been disappointed. I've had their lemongrass tofu, fried egg rolls, spring rolls, canh chua tom (vietnamese soup w/shrimp), bun thit nuong cha gio (vermicelli w/bbq pork & egg roll), curry sauce and garlic (with 3 meats mixed), and hoa binh special seafood. All have been delicious. I do think Pho Saigon's spring rolls & peanut sauce beat Pho Hoa Binh's a bit so I'd opt for the fried egg rolls here because they are a crispy delight. The waitress suggested dipping the egg rolls in our green curry dish and I'm very glad she did! It was scrumptious. I burned my mouth multiple times because I was too eager (same with my boyfriend) so definitely attempt to hold off until things cool a little. I would still rather them bring food out piping hot than lukewarm. The vermicelli dish was nice and cool. It would be great on a hot summer day. The family that runs the place is very nice and always ready to answer any questions you have.
I went last Monday (3/10/14) a little past 11am and there was no one in sight, just a dark restaurant. Did they forget to set their clocks forward?
Must try buffet. The staff is very friendly and the food is good, but the buffet is a knock out. For around 5 dollars they offer good vegetarian curry dishes and multiple types of tofu, plus the chicken wings are crispy and juicy.
It's like your grandma's cooking, if she's Vietnamese.
Yummy lunch buffet! I am always a little leery about buffets but this one was inexpensive and awesome! 4 (at least) different kinds of tofu, awesome egg rolls... The lemon grass tofu is as amazing as everyone claims!!!
Food & Service. Went there last night for dinner & go there just a few minutes before 9. They already had the "closed" sign up but went in & asked if we could still order something to go. They were happy to oblige us. Our order was quickly prepared & we were out in less than 10 minutes. Food was HOT & it was very good. We've already decided we will be going back to order something different. We made a quick decision & definitely not disappointed. See you again soon.
Like an Addiction.... I think I am addicted to the lemongrass tofu from Pho Binh, I crave it constantly!! And their egg rolls, even the vegetarian are the best I have tasted any where.

As a visiting Vietnamese woman, this restaurant pleased me a great deal. Family owned, the folks at Pho Binh take great care of their customers. Not in the best part of Memphis, but fills up as soon as the doors open with a waiting line soon after opening time of 11:00 am. The pho was delicious and they are more than pleased to make special requests like the seafood pho that is not on the menu. Many of the pho's offered on the urban spoon menu aren't there anymore due to lack of enthusiasm for real, Viet pho- the buffet with Chinese had A LOT of curry flavored tofu and chicken. Will return if we have time before we leave!!

Sadly, this family-owned restaurant is still takeout only since COVID and the dining with what had been one of three best buffets in town is not available.

First off, the lemongrass tofu is the finest presentation of this soy-based protein I've ever had.
In addition, many great menu options abound, ranging from vermicelli and stir fry to lo mein and spring rolls. Several great soups are in tow as well (hence the name) such as the curry tofu and the hot and sour.
Having frequented this place since 2009, I can vouch for the consistency and quality of this family-owned business. One of my favorite restaurants in Memphis.
The Lemongrass tofu is amazing. My son is a vegetarian but I'm not so when he tell me about the restaurant I was kind of skeptical. But 3 years later I can say this is one of my favorite places to get food. The service is great they know you by face when you come in makes you feel appreciated as customer. The food is always fresh made to order if you want to have something different but delicious please try this restaurant you won't be sorry. You must try the lemongrass tofu it is amazing.
Love their curry and lemongrass tofu. My best friends were their regular customers, they brought me some of their foods from here and I fall in love with it. Nice texture and perfect amount. Definitely worth the try.
You’ve never had tofu like this!! I consider myself a bit of a tofu connoisseur and my goodness this is some of the best tofu I’ve ever had, and I’ve eaten it from all over Asia,we’re so lucky to have them!
The portions are enormous(if often have it for lunch and dinner) and it’s the perfect mix of sweet and spicy. Can’t recommend it enough! As a bonus the staff has always been super sweet and friendly!
Vietnamese Chinese Restaurant with a lot of Vegetarian options. The food is really mouth watering with authentic taste. Eating with Chopsticks was an amazing experience for me in itself. The Lemongrass Tofu, Egg Rolls, Veg Fried Rice and one more dish, all of which were amazing...
What can I saw? I get lemongrass tofu here nearly every week. I asked the owner one time how much of what she sells is lemongrass tofu because that's what I see nearly everyone buying. She said it's nearly 90%. One order of lemongrass tofu comes with rice and it can be two big meals or several small snacky meals.
If you are anywhere near the zoo- or even if you have to drive across Memphis, place your order and enjoy the huge portions, cheap prices, and delicious food. You will be grateful! We got 3 vegetarian tofu dishes plus spring rolls and they were all amazing, though I’m sure the meat dishes are good as well.
Love this place. Food is fantastic and great price. I always get the vegetables rice noodles soup with tofu.
Absolutely love Pho Binh! Is one of my top 10 restaurants in Memphis. We usually get the buffet but sometimes order from the menu, the phos are great! The wings are to die for! Best wings in town! Also the egg rolls are the best! I could have them everyday... :) the different kinds of tofu they have in the buffet are delicious. Seating is limited so I recommend getting there early to secure a spot, I highly recommend this place I could have lunch there everyday!
