Good food and good service from the owner, her granddaughter acts a little bothered that there are customers present but the owner is happy to have them there. She makes you feel like she is your grandmother and she is cooking for you at her house. The place is small but the food is big and so is the personality that this place has! Cozy atmosphere, the smothered pork chops are delicious, the yams are good, the corn cake(?) is good. You can't go wrong with any dishes here, although the Mac n cheese does taste average. Stop by if you are in the area
Alcenia’s was a cozy and cute little spot we just happened to find when we got into town for a weekend trip. The fried chicken is the best I’ve ever had! Definitely order the tomato gravy and biscuits. Sweet tea is delicious too. Great service. Friendly older lady who was so sweet and treated you like family. Clean bathrooms. Highly recommend this place!!
We very much enjoyed our meal here a few days ago. The staff was wonderful. The owner is as sweet as everyone says she is and our waitress was sweet as well. My daughters and I loved it.
This place is incredible. Everything is super tasty, well seasoned, home cooked to perfection. Fried chicken to absolutely die for, gravy, mashed potatoes, cone bread!! All top notch soul food. And a hug from the owner. Can’t recommend highly enough!

This was my first time here someone told me about it. First off the restaurant was small but quint and I really enjoyed the coziness. It was decorated very pretty with a eclectic style. The staff was friendly. I had the smothered chicken with mac and cheese and yams the for dessert I had the lemon icebox pie. I would recommend this place plus I like to support black owned businesses.
Amazing authentic soul food. I absolutely loved coming here the experience was wonderful. The food was delicious so tasty, rich in flavor and fresh. They do not have precooked food. If you don’t like waiting for fresh food this is not the place for you. Hospitality was so authentic. BJ kissed all of on our head and checked on us constantly I truly felt like I was at my family members house. Loved the environment. 10/10

The pictures don’t do the food no justice. Definitely will be my go to before hitting the road to go back home. Y’all she even ships pies 🤭. We will be calling ahead from now on for the pies.
The food was excellent and the owner greeting everyone at every table was so warm and loving ❤️ I'll definitely go back anytime I'm in town.
