The food is excellent, the atmosphere is of a old school family diner, and I mean that in the best of ways. The waitstaff is friendly, attentive, and efficient.
I got the Biscuits and Gravy this time, it's my go to for whenever I try out a new place. They're tough to mess up, but when they're good, they're really good. This was my second time visiting Metro Diner, last time I got some Fantastic shepherd's pie. While I can't say it was the best example of the dish I've ever had, it was delicious and unique. I've never had one that tasted like that before, and I doubt I'd find one like it anywhere else.
Come with an appetite and bring the family, it's a great time, with good food. What more could you want?
One of our go-tos for takeout and comfort food. The food is always delicious and more than enough. This last time we ordered the Greek salad, children's chicken and waffles, adult chicken and waffles, and the honey chicken sandwich. All were fantastic!

New management!!!! We are very loyal customers. There was a time that we were concerned. Management and staff seemed to have a high turnover. The first manager left and two others took the reigns .... and seemed to not have a grasp on customer service. One was a recluse and the other was very talkative and narcissistic in nature. The other concerns were cleanliness. With the new manager coming aboard , I believe his name is Jay. Our concerns are gone. Jay has this place in spite of the virus scare, running like a well oiled machine. Establishment is clean! Staff happy with positive looking faces so their countenance has changed for the better. Thanks to the supervisory staff that made the necessary changes to the management. Jay is the best! When you walk in he takes the time to know his customers. Jay is always cheerful and professional no matter how busy and chaotic the time of business gets. We love coming here and will always be faithful customers as long as the service now is the norm.
The food is good quality and cooked right. I took off a star because today I paid $1.50 extra for strawberries and strawberry butter and laughed at the amount of strawberries that was actually put on my son’s waffle and no strawberry butter was given at all. I’d just appreciate getting what I ordered and my money’s worth.
Had such a wonderful breakfast here with my family! The food was absolutely delicious and our server was very friendly and great with giving out suggestions! The resturaunt was packed and our food came out in a very timely manor. It was also very clean and they were keeping up with covid standards. I can't wait to come back and try the roast beef!
I don’t know why we haven’t been here yet. Paul our waiter was top notch. The breakfast and mimosas=AMAZING! Chicken and waffles literally the best! Mimosas are cheap and strong! Perfect combination. I’d choose Metro over Another broken egg ANYDAY! The sweet and spicy sauce is good with everything! Overall an amazing experience! Can’t wait to bring our family.
Took a family girls trip to Huntsville and decided to have brunch here before leaving. It was nothing short of amazing. The service and food was awesome. Chicken and waffles are the way to go!!! Paired with the spicy syrup 😊
Excellent food, everything is made from scratch in house daily and it really shows in the quality of the food. I've tried about half of their menu at this point and have been happy with every single thing. The chicken and waffles is out of this world, the sauce it comes with is really unique, a mix of syrup, butter, and strawberry preserve if I had to guess. It is also the only place in town that I have found that serves a really good biscuits and sausage gravy, with enormous buttermilk biscuits and lots of sausage in the gravy.
Portions are very generous and the price reflects this (typically $10-16 a plate not including drink, tax, tip). Well worth it in my opinion. Worth driving all the way across town for on a fairly regular basis.
Wait staff is very friendly and polite, the restaurant is kept very clean, and has a pretty neutral, muted diner from the 80's aesthetic. Highly recommend.
