We pulled into the Dryer Drive McDonalds on a snowy November evening. We were excited to dine in after a long day at the farm. Disappointed that the dining room was closed despite the misleading sign which read, “dining room now open!” I did not let this deter me. The young man at the register was very intuitive and, seeing us standing by the entrance, approached us to break the news. I blame this issue on corporate policy rather than staff.
After we recovered from the disappointment, we proceeded to the drive through. Our order was long and tedious, but the young man took it with stride. He stopped me several times to confirm he heard my order correctly. The ice cream machine was not even broken; I got two small chocolate shakes.
I felt a certain customer camaraderie as I pulled up to my parking spot and saw a fellow customer enjoying her meal in her SUV.
In the end, I fell in love.
This is a love story.
Seriously people- you don't go to McDonald's for the service. You should know that by now. The people working there don't get paid enough to cater to your every whim- nor do they have the time.
I've never had a bad experience here, because I set my expectations accordingly. I get my cheap tasty fried food and then I leave. Never have had a bad experience. Very conveniently located on Madison's northside.
I go to this McDonald's with my wife fairly often and we rarely have a bad experience. All of the staff that we come into contact with are very competent, polite and helpful as well. So I dont think some of these bad reviews are valid. Maybe it's because we treat them with the same degree of respect and politeness that we never have bad service. Either way, there is one employee who is always super friendly knowledgeable helpful and just the gold standard of customer service everytime. Jahl (sorry for the spelling) is always a 5 star joy her smile is infectious and her professionalism work ethic are always above and beyond.
