Great food great service been going to the Madison location for years but don't expect the same in Chardon.
Good Italian. Joey's is part of the Longo family that has been well known in Lake County for many years. Been to this location several times and have enjoyed the food. The wait staff is friendly and attentive. Ate at the bar on one visit - despite the bar being full, the 1 individual behind the bar quickly took care of everyone - excellent service.
This is a great place to go for dinner, for some appetizers, or just for drinks.
It's not bad, it's not great, it's Joey's.
The food is fine. It's basic diner food. Their are quite a few things on the menu that are actually pretty good if I'm being honest. You just need to know what they are. Their ultimate chicken salad is probably the best thing on their entire menu if I'm being honest, and nearly all of their sandwiches are fine/good.
They're Pizza which is associated with their Longo's subsidiary is actually reasonable. It's more or less better than any of the fast food pizza chains but not much better than any of the other mom-and-pop pizza shops that are in the area.
Strangely enough a lot of their Italian food is what actually is extremely hit-and-miss with whether or not it's either reasonably good all the way to being just plain bad at times.
Really a lot of the biggest reasons why so many people go to Joey's is that it's very well-maintained, and everything is usually very clean and orderly whenever you're there. The decor and environment is very nice and a lot of people love going there on Sundays to watch the football games. Their indoor outdoor porch area is very nice and they usually have an awesome fire going whenever it starts getting cold out.
Relaxed comfortable place with excellent chow choices. Thank you Tracy for the fast, friendly, and attentive service. Excellent Madison Chicken and Strawberry Margaritas.
We came here last night and it was pretty decent. I feel like the Alfredo sauce could have been more flavorful. I feel like the sauce had very little taste to it but the chicken was good. We had Bruschetta bread that was pretty darn amazing. My son said his meat lovers calzone was pretty good. Would definitely come back and try something else.
Gf and I shared a lasagna and sausage pepper pasta. How wonderful. So much flavor. Our server, Madison, was very attentive and checked on us now and then.
May have been the best overall dining experience I've ever had. Melissa was the waitress, awesome! Light-hearted and fun, good attitude, and attentive.
Food was superb. Everything that people got at our table, there were 7 of us, looked amazing. The portion sizes were fantastic. I'm a big eater and I was stuffed. We shared the fried pickle chips, yummy and a nice portion to share. My meal was a creamy chicken pasta. Can't remember the name because the waitress picked it, I never order. It was incredible.
FYI, it was a Sunday, early afternoon.
Waitress was inattentive. I ordered sausage and pasty with a side salad. After asking for it, my salad showed up 5 minutes after my dinner was servered. The excuse was that “We have new people back there “.
My date got the breaded shrimp dinner.
Both meals were very good. Then we waited and waited to get our check. 🙁
We were looking for a spot to have dinner, other than a pub or bar, and found this place online. Joey's Italian was a nice surprise, we had never been there. The place was big, plenty of seating, great menu choices and great service. We ordered a couple appetizers, side salads, chicken picatta, chicken parm and 2 pizzas for a table of 5 adults. Everything was pretty good, but what stood out was the spring rolls appetizer and the smashed meatball with ricotta cheese pizza, that was really good, and let's not forget the yummy garlic knot rolls served before dinner!! Prices were very reasonable, and the service was great. I definitely recommend Joey's Italian Grille.

I’m Italian and I love to cook. But I have to tell you I had the best meat sauce ever(I even thought it was better then mine). I only wish that I lived by one of their restaurants the are in Ohio and I’m in New York. Highly recommended
Absolutely adore this restaurant. I have yet to eat anything I don't like. The employees are always so nice to us. Great place to play some corn hole, grab a beer, have a date night or bring mom and dad for a nice lunch.
Thoroughly enjoyed this place. It was crowded so we added our name to the waiting list and went back to the bar to have a drink and relax before dinner. The bar was out and inside. The building could have been a auto mechanic shop at one time and if it wasn't the design of the building was remarkable. We sat outside so that I could enjoy a cigarette with my drink which is rare anymore. There were tons of TV's broadcasting everything from the news to sports. There were two Bocce pits and music as well. We were seated within about 20 minutes or so and even though they were short staffed our waitress was very patient, friendly and helpful. We started with Bang Bang Shrimp and it was delicious, crunchy with just the right amount of heat. We were given garlic knots along with a salad we split and the waitress was nice enough to bring an extra bowl and a side of salad dressing for us. The bread was fresh and full of garlic and butter and the salad was fresh too! Next up was the main course of which I had Chicken Piccata and my husband had Lasagne. The Chicken Piccata had lots of capers and I asked for mushrooms and onions added and oh my goodness, the sauce was amazing and the chicken slightly crunchy and tender. My husband loved his Lasagne, he said the meatballs were very tasty and the sauce was a very traditional Italian sauce. He can't wait to come back and enjoy the meatball sandwich. It was overall the best experience we have had in an Italian restaurant in quite some time. Very flavorful food, good people and good prices. We will return.
