Located in the quaint town of Madison, NJ. We had a party of 3.
Food: Disco fries were good, but have had better. More gravy would have made them excellent. We had them as an appetizer ($8.25 for a large). We had Alpine chicken sandwich, turkey sloppy Joe, and a BLT. All were good with a sizable portion. Classic diner food with a broad menu.
Service: service was attentive and polite, however, nothing over the top.
Atmosphere: clean seating area with booths, tables, and counter service. Bathrooms were clean too, to me “clean bathrooms “ say something about the kitchen cleanliness 🤷♂️.
Summary: great place to have a business meeting or lunch with a friend. Sits in downtown Madison, so you can walk around town and check out all the small shops.
Generous Portions, And The Food Is Excellent! Spanish Omelette Was Very Filling And Tasted Great! Friendly & Attentive Service As Well. Prices Are Very Reasonable! 5-Stars Here, Will Return!
Good food, family friendly, easy parking at the back, handicap wheel chair accessible, clean restaurant and clean toilet, good price for its a big serving portion.
A HUGE shout out to the Nautilus Diner... Billy, Valentina, the kitchen staff, the host/cashier, everyone! I brought my class of adult learners in for lunch. Our bus arrived late and they held my large table open for us. The staff was soooo very accommodating, patient, kind, and understanding of our needs. They went above and beyond to ensure my learner with severe allergies was able to enjoy a safe meal out. Our server could not have been more patient and zen through all of our chaos.
Thank you again!
I had breakfast there a couple weeks ago and it hit all the right notes: A solid meal (Western omelette, great home fries); strong coffee, great diner vibe. If I'm ever though Madison again I'd gladly stop back in.
First place we came to back in 2004 when we moved from UK. Still amazing. My daughter and I had lunch there on Monday and loved it. Great food and service
The Nautilus Diner is always a favorite after church. The food is deliciously prepared and the staff is friendly and always attentive. Never disappointed.
The Champs Elysee of Madison. Grab a coffee or a meal at the Nautilus, sooner or later you'll rub elbows with the mayor, your council representative, the guy who plows your street... anybody and everybody.
Breakfast is the specialty, but like any good diner the menu includes just about everything; there are daily specials that can honestly be called 'cuisine,' but if you want a donut, you'll have to go elsewhere (or settle for a muffin.)
The food was fine and service was very good. I got a breakfast dish, basic eggs, etc. No issues but nothing special either. Typical diner with typical food and typical ambiance.
Thank you for those delicious pancakes and sausages. Great Service as well!
