The bbq was okay. 6.6/10. I have had moose creek bbq in Arlington, which I'll compare this place to.. i also lived in texas for a few years.. (just a few of my qualifications) overall the food was what you would expect. They serve it on a tray with some sides. The portions were bigger than moose creek. The brisket had a good flavor. My pork rib fell off the bone literally. The mac and cheese was very well done, my favorite. The potato salad was okay. We git a roll and some cornbread as well. This was all about 20$. The customer service was awesome. I wanted cornbread but my wife wanted a roll.. I was ordering when they heard our joking banter. Long story short, they gave us some cornbread, just out of generosity. I was very thankful to try it it. Overall, my experience was GOOD here. It's a better experience than most restaurants. Portions are bigger compared to the other bbq spot that I've been too in Arlington (moose creek). The food itself didn't taste as flavorful as the other BBQ spot. If I may add a suggestion, consider thicker bbq sauce. I was hoping for more saucy and less drizzle in the BBQ sauces they offered. They seemed slightly diluted. This place was good though. don't pass up on it.
Great BBQ place! Tried their Pulled Pork Sandwich with Grilled Collard Greens. All very tasty, got a feeling you can't go wrong on anything on the menu.
Yum.
Great food, nice people.
Sparkling clean.
Pork belly, fried okra, fries, Cole slaw, each/all perfect.
Need to go back - soon.
We got a meal for 8 people and an extra of dry rub ribs. The ribs were good, but the brisket, pulled pork, and brisket burnt ends were INCREDIBLE. For sides we got yam fries, bacon mashed potatoes, and fried pickles. The breading on the pickles was very spicy and the mashed potatoes had a lot going on (quite salty), the yam fries were the best we had ever tasted. If I were to order a huge amount of food from there again, I would just get a double serving of pulled pork and burnt ends and a huge amount of yam fries and eat that for days.
Love this BBQ place best place I’ve been to , they’re really great people and food here I recommend coming to this place
This BBQ would stand up to most Southern BBQ I've tried. The pork belly burnt ends are to die for. The Smokey BBQ sauce is amazing, and they sell it in store. Only reason I gave it a 4 star instead of 5 is the price. Me and 2 coworkers spent $70 on lunch. That's a pretty penny for lunch but it was good, and I will be back.
Wow. While I am not a BBQ connesieur, this place has incredible burnt ends. We bought an 8 person meal. Pulled pork and burnt ends were the start of the meal. The brisket was OK, thinly sliced and a bit dry, but very good with the various sauces. Dry rubbed ribs were good, but couldn't hold up to the burnt ends and pulled portion.
We weren't impressed by the corn bread (gummy texture) or the bacon potato salad (too much going on). Stick with the meat and sauce and you can't go wrong.
Staff was very friendly and quick to put together our order even though we showed up early.
