This super charming little place is tucked in the back corner of a shopping center off of Southside Dr, across from Rubbies and behind the Ken Towery. If you are in the area, I'd suggest stopping in. I was in the area and just popped in and purchased a few items and ran out.
I got a ready to go Banh Mi that I toasted up later at home. While you can maybe find better, it was inexpensive and very tasty. I also purchased some pastries and mung bean cookies. All were excellent, The mung bean cookie literally melted in my mouth leaving a heavenly peanut buttery taste I want to have again.
In summary, if you are in the area, want something exotic to go, delightful pastries or sit down for a nice glass of tea or coffee with a friend, I'd say this place should be on your short list.
No pretention typical in a French baker.. In a way - we're glad no one knows about this place. In another way, everyone should know about this place. My family of four just stopped off for an afternoon snack - I had delicious rice crepes with bbq, mushroom stuffing. My husband had an onion/bacon bun. One daughter had a 6 inch liverwurst on french bread and the other had a Long John - all for about $8. Amazing.
Wonderful and amazing coconut buns and onion & bacon buns. The pate choux is pretty good. Hot dog bun was not exemplary but it is the exception. Their cookies are good and unique (they have Hershey's miniatures in them). Their banh mi sandwiches are good and a decent value at $3.
Worth the drive. More people should know about this place. I experienced wonderful foods and desserts I've never tried before and found them to be amazingly unique and wonderful. It's worth a trip out to Southside Drive.
Banh mi is good. I had both banhmi thit and banh mi xiu mai and both are good. Enjoy Vietnamese iced coffee also with it. All for about 10 dollars. The jalapeno is hot but complements the taste. The pate cheaux (puff pastry with pork) is also delectable. Happy eating.
Really Wonderful. This is worth the drive. Wonderful French pastry, cakes and cookies plus...Vietnamease goodies. You can pick up a sandwich and a good cup of coffee. Nice little cafe to sit and enjoy your meal. Hoa, the lovely lady baker, is French trained and it showes in the quality of her work. No dried out cake and greasy frosting. I had the patechaux with pork filling. The pastry was flakey and the pork meatball inside was lean with just a hint of heat. She will be making a Buche de Noel for Christmas. Can't wait.

I can't believe in the 10 years I've lived in Fairdale this was right around the corner from me on Southside Drive I will definitely be back

This is a MUST if you love finding that unique little unexpected spot. We had eaten at Ruppie's the night before and saw this to come back to the next morning. We grabbed several different pastries, the boba tea, and the sesame balls.
The owner/chef even came out to greet us and gave us a free sesame ball to try, so sweet! They really are delicious, as well as those egg rolls (some of the best I've had, though wish they were kept hotter). Cheese Danish - 200% fantastic. Great boba (in top two as far as the actual tapioca boba quality that I've ever had, and I get boba tea a LOT). The tea itself was towards the warm side from the boba and tea so wish maybe more ice to chill it.
Would absolutely come back and love their atmosphere! We were only here around breakfast so I would 100% want to try some of their banh me sandwiches next time.
This place is phenomenal! The pastries are fresh, the drinks are smooth. And the atmosphere makes you never wanna leave, 10/10
What a gem!!! 💎 $10 for korean beef short ribs with rice and $4 for chicken leg!!! And they were sooooo delicious!!!!! Every food we had here was so good. We also had beef lemongrass bahn mi but forgot to take picture. I've been wanting to try bahn mi but most of them are made with pork and I don't ear pork. I mentioned about that and the owner made me shrimp Vietnamese spring rolls with peanut sauce, they were so fresh and tasted amazing. I don't usually like Vietnamese spring rolls so I was very impressed. The owner and the staff were so nice and welcoming. They have the sesame balls with mung bean!!! I was just so happy because that's my favorite snack when I was a kid and I've never found a mung bean sesame ball anywhere, they usually make them with red beans. I will definitely come back and I would definitely recommend this place, you won't regret it. The watermelon fruit tea is such a perfect summer drink!! 🧋🍉 🍥🥟
Manager and his staff is so friendly and amazing. The food is very good, fresh, and high quality
So delicious! Most authentic Viet restaurant/cafe in Louisville
Extremely clean with beautiful decor. I ordered item B4 which is the chicken Bánh mì. It was shredded chicken on a fresh roll with pickled carrots, cucumber, cilantro, jalapeños, with a spicy mayonnaise sauce. It wast first time eating one and it was amazing. I also ordered milk tea with boba. Absolutely delicious. They also had a bunch of press pastries
As well, but I didn’t try them. I’ll definitely will be back and I recommended this place to my Louisville friends. It’s a gem! For the sandwich and regular milk tea it was less that $12!
Banh Mi, banh bot loc, and banh beo were all delicious! I ordered the special banh mi which has a lot of meat for $6.00. The bread is crispy and airy. I would definitely come back again.
I've been several times, and it's been wonderful and delicious every time! If you love boba or not, I think they have something for everyone! It's so friendly there, and One of if not my favorite boba place in the city! I enjoy their brown sugar boba and strawberry slushy with strawberry boba and plan to try a lot more!
I come here often with my mother and little sister, I love this place. The food is good and the service there is so friendly and calm. Their boba is the best, I mostly get the Taro milk with rainbow jelly. 100% recommend 🤍
