A hole in the wall, this place has been here forever! After they expanded some years ago, this place turned in to the volleyball and drinks weekend haven. Always a blast! Some nights, they have great live music ... Perfect for a dimly lit room and some pool or darts.
The best wings and sauce I've ever had. Makers Mark burger is super good. Chicken sandwich is very good as well. Not your typical bar food. Kicks the crap out of any other bar food i've ever had.
I am going to start by saying it was after 1am when we got here and we were solely looking for someplace that was open with Food. We struck out at several places but two of them recommended R Place Pub and this is where we ended up. We each ended up ordering the Burgers of which the bartender recommended and they were Fantastic. They had many other options to choose from but I can honestly say if you need a plate place to eat and you like Burgers this would be the place.
Absolutely amazing place the service was awesome 👌 we were in town for louder than life music festival and need a place to get some good food and a cold drink late at night the food is Absolutely fire 🔥 we had half the menu and everything was very good I highly recommend this place if I lived closer this would be our local hang out love this place they have volleyball 🏐 also indoor and outdoor
They have great prices, fun music all the time and a nice crowd. The food is above average for a typical bar. Decently priced as well
R Place is amazing! The food is great, the staff are always friendly and the atmosphere is like no other bar in Louisville. Plus it's been featured on Netflix and OVW so you never know who you may bump into!!
I got burgers to go during Louisville burger week so I'm not too sure how it is as a bar but the food was very good!
Our place is I wouldn't say family. But it is a family like it's very relaxing plenty of things to do. Super Bowl watch Different sports games. As you eat indoor outdoor you can watch Live volleyball sand volleyball. Parking is over a 100 to a 150 spaces. Gas station within. The crowd always smiling and having a great time. Every time I go there very enjoyable, relaxing place to eat. Or drink, meet a friend after work. Friday, Saturday night, saturday, Sunday afternoon's all around great place, it's our place.
It's a lot different from years past. They have taken over what use to be the clothing store next to it. They now have 2 volleyball courts and what use to be the front parking is used for cornhole. The floors inside were torn up I'm assuming they are re-doing them. Bartenders were nice and fast. They didn't have any waitresses though. The buckets of beer were cheaper than other places.
My band Falls city freeloaders played there around Halloween Great atmosphere and Service the crowd was very nice we loved it I highly recommend checking it out
Bartender was cool. Tall lanky dude named Matt. Great drinks, great service, great beard. People told me his brother is cooler though.

Pool tables, live music and sports on the tube. Great place to enjoy some good bar grub with friends. Oh and volleyball. 👍🍺
