Good fried chicken through a drive through, how wonderful. Quite a few other decent to good fried foods and interesting sides, all dine in or drive through, even better. Good access to I-65, better yet. The food at Indi's, any location, is not the best you'll ever have. But it is pretty darn good. I'd say they are bit lacking in two things. One, the service while typically efficient is...Brusk, verging on rude. I used to think is was a particular location or staff, but this seems to be true all of the locations I've visited. And, I'm told by a friend with severe seafood allergies, that they don't separate foods that can trigger allergy attacks into different batches of oil.
All that said, if you want some decent fried food fast, this is a good place to go.
This is the real KFC. Great chicken and it's kind of a rough place. Not a very family friendly restaurant but it is what it is a great soul food chain in Louisville.
Good chicken. Hot wings are little small so order appropriately. House made sides and hot sauce. Rib tips are big and meaty. Lots of options. Classic southern food.

Great Fried Chicken. I love fried chicken and consider myself somewhat of an aficionado. My mother and her mother made the best fried chicken in the world. I have never found any commercial chicken to match it but that does not mean that I cannot appreciate restaurant and fast food fried chicken.
I will only eat KFC if there is no alternative. Lee’s is a step up; especially their crispy variety. I have been hooked on Popeye’s spicy for some time; having it about once a week for the past couple of years.
I visited Indi’s today and found that they have be best fast food fired chicken I have ever eaten. I ordered three pieces of the spicy and green beans and broccoli casserole as my sides. The green beans were better than passable and the broccoli casserole was as good as any I have eaten anywhere. The only negative is that the portions are what I would consider a little small but the chicken is the main event anyway.
Ah yes, the chicken. I had a wing, leg and thigh. They were all crispy on the outside and hot and juicy on the inside. The breading was probably the best I have ever had. It was light, not greasy, thin and crispy.
In some fast food chicken outlets the spicy flavor is concentrated in the breading or a layer of seasoning just under the breading. Not so at Indi’s. Every bite from the crispy crust to the moist, tender and juicy interior meat was permeated with “heat.”
Here is where I would caution a spicy chicken eater. I have to say that Indi’s spicy is about twice as hot as or more than Popeye’s. It is so spicy that when I return I may back off and order the non-spicy version and add my own hot sauce.
The last caution I would give that I have heard that the Indi’s stores vary greatly in terms of cleanliness and friendliness of servers. However, I can vouch for the Fern Valley road store as it was a pleasant and satisfying dining experience. I will return
The Spicy Chicken was delicious. I also came back the next day to buy more to share with my family.
Short on staff and the dining area was closed, but honestly glad I went through drive thru, may not have gotten “Damon” who was very polite and Courteous. Apologized for the wait and gave us drinks while we waited. I applauded him for being there and he was grateful for that. The food was hot and fresh. Chicken was so yummy. Will be back.
If you want wings in Louisville, this is the spot. It's highly possible you'll wait in the line for an hour, but it's ok. Just be patient, I promise the food is worth it. Those wedges make you wanna smack your momma. Worth every minute of the wait. Employees are great, food is ALWAYS top tier. 10/10, highly recommend.
First time going while in Louisville visiting. Got chicken( breast &wing) greens with Mac and cheese as sides came with biscuit. Sides were very flavorful and fresh. Chicken was great tasting. Wish the sides were bigger lol. Will go back before I leave
Food is good. But a woman that took our order kept singing in the microphone going out over the speakers. And it was very annoying.
And you could tell others were annoyed by it also. And to top it off. She couldn't sing.
First time eating with them. You have to go through drive thru. With 4 cars in front of me. It only took 17 minutes and all the food was Hit and delicious!
Gentleman at drive thru extremely nice and very polite. 3 PC chicken meal, fried apples and green beans for sides. Ordered 3 potato wedges and order of fried cauliflower - fresh and hot! From Oklahoma or I'd be back!!
Food was really good and super quick service. Spicy BBQ sauce definitely has some heat to it. Definitely going back. Nice variety of soul food and reasonably priced.

Great place to get wings for a party. We supply the wings for a derby party. The first thing to go. Hot is delicious and the mild is for the people to have trouble with the hot. Give a 5 star to them
