This shop is AMAZING. The decor and atmosphere is unparalleled, and there is a tiny boutique in the front for you to purchase little handmade items. There is even a little section of hats and other props to pose and take pictures with. During my visit, I had Flur de Lis, as well as Kentucky Rose. They were both green tea blends, and delicious. I was afraid that the Kentucky Rose would be overpowered by the Rose flavor, but they balanced it beautifully. I used one cube of sugar per cup, and it was delicious. We had their 'Desert Tea Tray', and we got one of each of their deserts. The Orange cream was by far the best, though everything was good! We also had a turkey pinwheel, which I enjoyed very much. All in all, I had a blast, and I will recommend this to EVERYONE.

I have been here a couple of times with my wife and both times were very enjoyable. Judy is a wonderful host, very kind. The teas were really good and the selection is very diverse. I highly recommend the 'Oh Foster!', and highly recommend this place to those looking for a quiet, peaceful place for fellowship. It also has a very nice boutique in front for shopping.

Went here for a late lunch while on a business trip. The price was reasonable and the atmosphere very relaxing (perfect option for a mid-day destressor from work). 4 stars only because I have had better scones elsewhere- theirs was tasty, but not amazing. The rest of the food I had and the tea were excellent - serving size was much larger than I expected and the server even made me a to-go cup of tea for on my way back to work.

Sword and Scone was an AWESOME location for mother’s day I would strongly recommend going. Food was fresh and great. There are many different ways to approach the menu depending on how hungry you are. I was very impressed. It would be a great place for a birthday party or girls day out. Will be back for sure.

This place is always wonderful, every time I come in. I hosted my bridal shower here and love to come after a hard day at work. The food never disappoints, the staff is amazing, and the owner is so friendly. Not to mention the cute boutique! 10/10 would recommend!

A place to take your time, have a pot of tea and relax. I loved to set up of this place. Nice big tables so 6 people can sit comfortable. 2 party room that seat 8, I think it was. The menu has 1pqge for sandwiches, soup, and salad. Next page is the High Tea with a list of what come on the 3 tier plate. A page for the Afternoon tea again 3 tier plate smaller selection of food. Then 3 pages of different types of Tea. Every kind you could think of. The staff were very nice.

I very much enjoyed going to the Sword and Scone! I took down a star because compared to other tea times I've had outside Louisville, this restaurant still has some kinks to work out. But definitely still worth a visit! Pros: Good varied selection of teas-Affordable-Very nice decor and space-1 unlimited pot of tea equals as many types as you'd care to try (most other places will refill your water, but you're stuck with the same tea). Cons-No spreads for the scones were included, other then butter (all other places have included some type of jam and whipped cream/clotted cream. I missed this)-Scones themselves were ok, not great (tasty enough, but very soft, almost like cake)-Currently only one high chair in the restaurant (though I was told that another had been ordered, but was delayed in coming). Not counted in the rating was that my zucchini sausage soup was WAY too salty, but after I mentioned it and was clearly not going to eat it, I was given a free scone and the soup taken off our ticket. This place only opened in October of 2016, so I expect they'll continue to iron out the kinks. Recommended!

We love, love love The Sword and the Scone Tea Parlor! I've been to the parlor on several occasions, from lunch with a friend or group of friends, to a Mother Daughter Tea with more than 40 girls and moms in our American Heritage Girls Troop. Today I'm going back with my mother, daughter, and 2 precious little girls who we watch while their mommies are working. The youngest just turned 4 and asked to go back to "the tea party place." I've taken her once before and she love, love, loves it, too!

This is a great place to have some girl time. They offer a wide variety of teas, as well as yummy food to go with it. Private rooms are available. For a special treat be sure to try the blooming tea. Judy, the owner does a great job!

I go here all the time with my little sister and her best friend. I always enjoy my time here. The service is wonderful. The food never disappoints and I haven’t found a tea I didn’t like. I highly recommend this place.
