Sssoooo nobody ever told me about this place? A wonderful friend of mine wanted some fish. I went straight to Google and this spot popped up. I am so glad it did. LuLu (I didn't ask the spelling of her name) was our server/bartender. She was wonderful! I love the bar vibe. Great spot for watching sports. Everything we ate was GOOD. Our drinks were GOOD. That fish.... 🔥🔥🔥!!! Go get you some!!!
Some of the best chicken wings in Louisville. Perfect size, crispy and satisfying. Got mild with hot sauce on the side, just enough to make me sweat. Service was ok, but spotty at times. Great IPA on tap. Atmosphere was decent, but didn't feel a vibe. I'll come back again for the wings.
First time visiting and the only complaint was that the karaoke/band that was playing when we arrived was very loud and drowned out the ability to communicate with server properly. Bumped back up to 5 stars because of how good the food was for so late at night. Burger was amongst the best I’ve had in recent years. Unique little place that I would visit again.
This local spot is always busy on a weekend or when they are having an event. It's great to see so many people enjoying the sports bar/grill vibe that this place does so well. Parking is plentiful, but if you don't get a spot close to the restaurant, it's a small walk. We had to wait about 30-40 minutes for a table on one of their busy nights, but they do have a text system to let you know when they are ready to seat you and that's always preferred in my opinion.
The staff are always hustling and we really appreciate how welcoming everyone is at this place. The drinks are a decent price and the food shows up freshly prepared. The loaded fries are awesome! The buttermilk ranch they serve with the fries is so good. The mushroom and swiss burger was great and HUGE. The green beans were okay, but I might try something different next time. The flavor just wasn't my favorite. The mini sliders were awesome and the tots were crisp. Overall, a good visit and we appreciate that this location has a rewards system too. It took a bit to get our drinks and the table was pretty sticky this time around, but we are looking forward to trying again.
*If you are sensitive to cigarette smoke, you need to ask for a table that is far away from the patio entrance. The patio seems to be a hot spot for smokers to gather and the smell wafts indoors really easily.*
Recommended by a local friend when we first got in town, great friendly atmosphere and everything we had was pretty good! Lobster bisque was very strong in flavor (though would want more actual lobster chunks), and the loaded BBQ nachos were delicious!
First time here! We sat on the covered patio and were able to bring our dog.I had a Bungalow burger and onion rings. Burger was thick and cooked to perfection. Onion rings were some of the best I ever had. My wife had the fish sandwich and potato wedges. The fish had a thin crispy batter and the fish was thick and flakey. She said it was delicious. The staff were friendly and service was excellent.
I wanted so badly to give them a bad rating because I hate Pepsi with a passion... but the service was amazing, the food was top notch, and on a Sunday with all the games on. Well, they deserve a 5 star and kudos for a well trained staff that was on top of our every need before we even knew we needed anything. For sure try the cheese fries, they might be the best I've ever had.
We went for drinks, appetizers and dessert after listening to a band tune up elsewhere. Bungalow Joe's is a nice place open late.
Pros:
*Top notch waitress. She was on point with menus, drinks, suggestions, and food.
*Southwestern rolls and a very generous serving of Brownie with ice cream was outstanding. Fried Pickles were also good. Sliders were good, but sauce was not really my style. Very sweet with a tang, but if that's what you like, this is the place.
Cons:
*Fried cheese rounds were not my favorite. Inside cheese was soft with a gel texture. Flavor was mild.
*Potato chips didn't have a lot of flavor.
*It's in a strip mall and the inside, while not bad, doesn't have a ton of ambiance, but the hours are good, portions are generous and they have some solid menu options.
*No wifi
All I can say is that I am so glad that my girlfriend introduced me to Bungalow Joe’s the friendly service from the time you walk into the door the mouthwatering food that is on the menu to the very friendly atmosphere. It is just a great place to go; you’ve got to try it.
It was awesome that they were dog friendly. We were seated on the patio, per usual for dog friendly establishments. However, it was enclosed and people came out to smoke. That is not ok. Especially for non smokers. The cream sickle drink was very delightful.
