I love this place. It is my favorite sushi joint for takeout during the lockdown. The rolls are huge and fairly priced. I’ve tried other sushi places and always find myself regretting not going to SushiStop instead.
Very delicious, reasonably priced and top quality. The tuna still had it's shiny surface so I could tell they use very fresh ingredients. I was completely full for around 20$.
Long overdue review. Years ago I use to work at a law office that was very close by. In terms of close by, walking distance. The first time I was introduced to this place I was shocked how cheap sushi was! Not only was the price very reasonable, but the sushi was so delicious!
I highly recommend this place if you’re craving for sushi and delicious sushi for a good price compared to other sushi places!
Just handrolls if you dine in and only cut rolls if you take out; well from what I recall. My fiancee and I came here on a Saturday afternoon around 2pm. The parking across the street was full and so was the garage next door, but there is another garage about 1 block away and it was $6 for all day parking. The line wasn't too long as some have stated, we got seating right away actually. Good timing on our part because it started to get busy as soon as we sat down. All the rolls are as good as it gets, especially the blue crab. It is exactly like the one at sugarfish, so you know what you are getting. The lobster roll also very delicious, but I still think the blue crab reigns supreme :).
Overall a good place to eat but probably not good for people with seafood allergies.
The sushi is more than good for value but die to popularity, service was relatively slow and it does take a whole to be seated due to ling lines.
Would be a place suggested for ppl who wants to try some fusion sushi. But if you have allergies, probably best to skip.

SushiStop at 2053 Sawtelle is Much More than 'Run of the Mill' Sushi. They are Fresh, Inexpensive and Ohhhh Sooo Good! Only tried 10 plates between two of us and each and every One was Out Of Control, Deeeelicious. Although the Sushi was Outstanding, the service by the female wait staff could've been better. The Guy, sadly I forgot his name, was AWESOME!!! Keep Up the Great Work, SushiStop! We WILL be back!!
