First time eating Persian and a wonderful experience! Food was amazing and the ambience is relaxing and soothing. Great place to have dinner with friends. The guitar player topped it off ! I will definitely return and can’t wait !
Drove from Irvine to check this place out and it was definitely worth it , amazing food , beautiful live music. Thank you so much Pasha aziz for your generous hospitality .
It’s a very nice Mediterranean place, the staff are very nice and polite! The food was very good. We always order from here for to go! Everyone likes the flavor and taste of these kinda food! Definitely try the crispy rice with stews, my favorite dish is Kebab Kobideh which is the ground beef Kebab! Also Gheimeh Stew is so delicious!
Very friendly staff who helped us pick what we wanted on the menu. There was also live music playing all the classics on his guitar which was a nice touch. The place seemed a bit old and overdue a makeover however.
The food was pretty good. Things I wouldn’t recommend though are the olives and pickles to start with. They are in some spice/sauce which I really didn’t like which was a shame. For the main course I got the leg of lamb which was delicious and literally fell off the bone which was nice. It came with a side of green rice (cooked in dill). Overall I would say the food is a bit overpriced for what it is, but still worth a visit if you’re in the area looking for Persian/Iranian food.
Came here for Dine LA. Persian food. Made a reservation but don't really need one. Not a very busy restaurant. They have live music here which was quite interesting. Big portions for sure. The rice was amazing! I got the ground meat kabob - meh, I actually preferred the rice over the meat. Hubby got the fesenjan stew cause the pomegranate sounded interesting - on the sweeter side which the waitress did note. If it was slightly less sweet, I think I would like it even more. We kind of regret to getting the lamb cause it looked really good. Yogurt was really good too! The ice cream was not really my favorite - rose flavor was waaayyyy too strong.
Table of 3 eating and HUNGRY and couldn’t finish this perfect plate while trying to taste a little bit of everything they had to offer. Honestly was very impressed with the comfortable seating, lovely inside decor and a wonderful staff at hand. We plan on going again as they have soo many stews outside of this grilled option we chose today, and I recommend you all do the same!
This food in a word...HEAVENLY! Real Persian cuisine prepared exquisitely. This food done right, nothing in this world can beat it.
And Farsi Cafe does it right.
"Cafe" is a bit confusing...its a wonderful sit-down restaurant with great service.
Good one to remember if you're anywhere near Westwood.
Fabulous food!=5☆'s Great service!=5☆'s Charming atmosphere!= 5☆"s. My go-to spot when I'm in Westwood.
My favorite dish is the lamb shank smothered in ocarmalized onions. More than you can devour in one sitting...it re-heats beautifully. Rice with silky lima beans. A side dish of sweet onions and lemons. Crusty pita bread rounds out a true feasting delight.
#1 On my top 10 List for Best Cafe.
Excellent food! The Kebabs were succulent and very flavorful. Their specials are awesome too. Expensive, which is a big negative. , The quantity in decent, but not very big.
Cheap-looking restaurant, the food was okay. I got the koobideh and shared it with my boyfriend. The koobideh was similar to those you get at the bazaar of tehran. I don't think we will ever go back here again. Overall none of the Persian restaurants in Westwood are not fancy looking. There are so many better places in LA is rather dine at, so I probably won't be coming back here for a while, if ever.
i loved the dish i got. lubia polo with koubideh kabob. two best dishes put together. Loved it
One of the best Persian foods in the LA. Clean and well priced yet prestigious and delicious food.
Stews taste like authentic Persian. Waitress and waiters are persians. Customer service is really good which I believe it is rare in LA persian restaurants.
Tahdig is their most famous appetizer but honestly it is like a main course.
