Rustic Kitchen has the most amazing food in the world! Great Mac-n-cheese, burgers, appetizers that are off the charts, salads, lobster rolls, and that are just to name a few. I love going there and trying something new each time as it is always delicious! Then you can match the great food with fantastic wine! whatever you like in wine, they have it and they have a lot of it. About 50 wines by the glass plus they always have great new wines and suggestions! Staff is great too!
Special note - if you really want a treat, go to one of their monthly wine dinners...winemaker comes in and then they create a 5 course meal to pair with the wine! Just amazing to go with friends!
We have loved this restaurant since it opened and it's in our neighborhood. The food, the wine and the service are outstanding. The RK skinny fries are the best french fries in town with addition of the smoked paprika. We also love the chicken pot pie, the burgers and the fried chicken sliders. Wonderful desserts, like the chocolate bread pudding. The wine and beer selection is also excellent. This is our favorite neighborhood restaurant. What's great about Rustic Kitchen is that you can go for a snack, for lunch or for dinner and you don't have to dress up!
Food was pretty good but not amazing. We enjoyed the Lobster Mac & Cheese, Kale Salad, Fish & Chips and Lobster Roll. We finished off with their Bread Pudding, which was delicious!
Our waiter was very friendly and welcoming. He’s originally from the UK and had a fabulous sense of humor. We enjoyed him very much.
Experiencing the rustic kitchen in LA for the first time was an absolute delight, leaving an indelible mark on my taste buds and culinary memories. From the moment I stepped inside, the cozy and inviting ambiance set the perfect stage for a remarkable dining experience. The menu boasted an array of delectable dishes, each prepared with a touch of rustic charm and an emphasis on fresh, high-quality ingredients.
In conclusion, my first encounter with the rustic kitchen in LA was an extraordinary adventure for my palate. It's an experience that has left me eager to return and explore even more of their culinary wonders. If you ever get the chance, don't miss the opportunity to indulge in this culinary gem.
Great menu choices for all tastes in a casual, open, well lit location with ample free parking behind the restaurant. Fine wines to go with delicious food.
We were there for a wine dinner with a Winery from Paso Robles. The chef prepared a menu to pair with the 6 wines served. The pairing was excellent and the food delicious! I think they have wine dinners frequently. The normal menu also looked good.
If you’re like me, you’ve driven past Rustic Kitchen Restaurant & Wine Bar on Centinela in Mar Vista without knowing what a gem it really is. If you love high-quality food and wine, you need to add Rustic Kitchen to the top of your list. There is plenty of free street parking out front, and they have ample seating inside, at the bar, and outdoors.
For wine, the servers can help guide you if they’re in house sommelier isn’t available. As I default to wines from Central California, I went with a glass of Austin Hope Cabernet Sauvignon from Paso Robles, 2021 vintage, and it was delicious.
For the food pairing, the menu seems to regularly change, but if you’re a carnivore and they have it available, I recommend the Black Cherry BBQ Glazed 14oz Bone in Pork Chop with roasted broccolini. The cherry glaze was uniquely tart and sweet, and it paired so perfectly with the savory pork chop.
Our server was hilarious and definitely made me want to return soon. Strong recommend this place for the service, laid back atmosphere, wine offerings, and cuisine.
I was in town for a conference and looking for a unique atmosphere with great food, and Rustic Kitchen over delivered.
Clark greeted us upon arrival with a pleasantry that let us know he was happy that our group was there. A master of hospitality.
The service was excellent, and the food took it to the next level. Our group had a variety off of the menu and all of us were well satiated with astounded by the quality of the ingredients and food.
Highly recommend to anyone in the area who has the opportunity to visit.
Honestly a really lovely place, great vibes, a local spot. This might’ve been more of a personal problem, and maybe I’m misremembering but I don’t feel like there was much on the menu that I could eat for a good price (I’m a pescatarian so I might just be making things hard for myself). I got the tuna sliders and it was ok but I felt like it was missing something!! Or needed some sort of side (or maybe the sliders are SUPPOSED to be the side and I’m being silly). I’ll probably be back, because the dessert case looked so so good, and their small plates we shared were lovely.
My friend got the chicken katsu salad I believe and it looked really tasty and like a bang for your buck with how much you get in it!
This is a great neighborhood spot for wine. They have an incredible by the glass menu. So many choices. I love the option to make a custom flight. The food is also quite good and the menu (for food and wine) rotates frequently. Highly recommend!
Wow! Great neighborhood spot. Locally owned. The wine by the glass is nuts! By that I mean plenty of choices. The desserts are crazy amazing and if I wasn’t on my sugar diet… I would have eaten so so so many! Yet instead I took my sugar in the form of wine! Great selection! Also shop grocery and get great discounts!
fun place..prices a little high but still reasonable for these days..great wine selections..creative menu
chef uses a bit to much salt! great desserts. staff is friendly but seem overwhelmed
