This was my second visit and loved it even more. The food, service, desserts are superb! The dessert counter is every dessert-lovers dream. The restaurant is an open setting and can get loud. Will absolutely be back when in LA.
When I walked in, Willie (the owner/chef) told me that the "sweet and spicy kielbasa" dog was the best sandwhich or hot dog ever invented. And by "told me" I mean "promised mr". I'm a trusting soul, so I ordered one forthwith. Holy. Dinosaur. Poop. He was not kidding. This thing was like Oscar Meyer and Coney Island's lovechild. It was fricking amazing. The Chicago Dog and Big Pappas spicy dog are delicious as well Reasonably priced, fun staff, excellent food. Check, check, check. And they will bacon wrap anything. Seriously.
Best veggie dogs in LA. Try one 'Chicago Style,' you won't be disappointed.
Awesome!! The veggie dogs are delectable, I always get the #3 with grilled peppers and onions. And, the best part? They charbroil them. Yep. Charbroiled veggie dogs taste amazing! Plus, they're cheap and have inexpensive side orders too. Yummy!!
...probably our favorite hot dog place at the moment. it’s down the street from us, its quick, its delicious, and the staff is amazing! they also have cool wall art for sale! my favorite is the orignal sweet and spicy dog (trust me, get this).
VEGAN BACON STREET DOG! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!! Its so good, I missed this spot last time I was in town, so glad I made it here this time. I love traditional spots that carry vegan options. Thank you!! Plus they have a ton of awesome art on the walls that you can buy, heck yeah
The real deal hot dog place with tons of topping options. Featured in 1000 Foods To Try Before You Die book. Worth the drive from anywhere in the LA area. Something for everyone including chicken strips and vegan options. 1/8th and 1/4 pound hotdog options plus Italian and polish sausages.
This is not fast dining as they make everything from scratch so expect a 10-15min wait after ordering.
Street parking (metered). Limited outside dining on the sidewalk with inside seating available.
Tried this place because it was featured in Worth It! I highly recommend the Sweet and Spicy one. Pretty good! Four stars because it took a while before our food was served.
Never been disappointed with any order from Vicious. Got their Lava Dog this time (spiciest dog they offer) and it was insane. Flavor was 12/10 and spice was 7/10. They have really creative and unique dogs but all of their creations are paired perfectly.
Interior looks very old and used. No music inside which is really weird.
Super friendly manager and owner.
I ordered Original Bacon Hot Dog, fries with cheese and garlic, soda
It was almost $10 - pretty expensive for such food I must say
Hot dog is good, it looks nice, small sausage, soft bun. Nothing much to say about it. You can get the same hot dog almost from any mexican vendor on the streets
Fries is awesome. Every single fries covered with cheese and garlik, its crispy and tasty.
Overall its 4/5. Wanna give it a try next time
The dogs were pretty good. We got the Sweet and Spicy Dog and the Hot Chick Dog.
The Sweet and Spicy dog wasn't that spicy, and the grilled onions and peppers worked perfectly with the sweetness. I personally didn't like the poppy seed bun, though. It was about $7
The Hot Chick Dog was basically hot wings sauce on a hot dog with some chicken pieces. We got the 1/4 lb for $2 more ($9 instead of $7). It honestly wasn't as good.
They also had Calypso lemonades, which were pretty good ($3).
Excellent food and a awesome owner. It's nice to see someone proud of the food they serve. Walked in at closing and everything was already cleaned up. The owner happily made my order and was sure to make sure I liked it.
A rare hot dog joint. They only appear so often. Best to support they so they last. I had the Louisiana hot link with mustard and onion. It was fantastic.
When you must have a hot dog fix, this is the place. The Kraut dog was as expected. The Chicago dog was just like the ones I get in the Windy City. Both were tasty and satisfied. Helpful staff. Parking is a bit of a nuisance, so you will need to walk a block or two.
So many options, on or off the menu. Ask about the Willie Special, or create your own. The Beyond Meat Bratwurst was amazingly yummy.
