It was superb, we had calamari, yellowtail smoked, fusilli clams and chitarra crab spaghetti. Rose wine from Umbria was delightful. Little pricey but great food & wine.
Outstanding food and an even lovelier atmosphere slightly noisy recommend eating outdoors .
We went there last Saturday for dinner recommended by Cosa Buona Restaurant.
Date night ! This place has great ambiance very cozy and nice .
We ordered pasta , salad and appetizer, food was great tasty and Fresh!
Also wine is great many choices to pick from the menu.
Nice ambiance and wide wine selection; great for date night! The chicken liver crostone was a highlight, really well-balanced with the rhubarb jam! Scallop crudo was just ok — the ponzu was deliciously acidic but the almonds weren’t a great combo; scallops could also be served cooler (warmed to room temp really quick). The radiatori was simple but delicious with yummy pork sugo. The fusilli was decent — clams were good, as was the smoked butter sauce (though as butter lovers, we could only eat so much of it).
Our waitress was the epitome of calm, chic competence. She was delightful and guided us through the menu in such a nice way that we couldn’t wait to order.
The food was delicious. We didn’t leave anything on any of the dishes. This is our favorite new spot. Can’t wait to come back.
It’s my first time back after the restaurant reopened post renovation. The food is as delicious as ever. The beef tartare with soy cured egg yolk, cracked farro salad and chili ribs are always good choices. The spaghetti with Dungeness crab and the fusilli with clams were satisfying. The orata with pesto trapanese and bean puree was the hands down favorite. The service is superb. The place is also dog friendly like most places in Silverlake.
A surprising little Italian spot in Silverlake! One of the best Italian places we've been to in LA. The menu is minimal and on point. Each dish felt carefully designed and the bites were absolutely perfect. We paired everything with unique orange wines. The servers were very knowledgeable and passionate which made the experience even better. Chicken liver crostone, Masa Gnocco Fritto, and Tortellini en Brodo are a must!!
Yea, this place is great - it's small, cozy with delicious food so you gotta make reservations. We were there at 530 (when they open) on a rainy Monday and they were already packed. The service was top notch although it slowed down a little at the end but they were super busy. We had a few great dishes including the scallop crudo, tortellini en Brado (it's like a yellow soup dumpling) and carne cruda (tartare). The spaghetti with crab and yellowtail collar is ok. The bread pudding was good. Nice way to end the evening. Just so you know, plates are small.
The Radiotore pasta was delicious, radicchio Caesar salad was extra delicious, broccolini quite good but Chicken Milanese sandwich was THICK and didn’t shine. Service was excellent even though one person manned the whole dining Room on a Saturday night. Small place w a few tables outside as well. They let you try their wines by the glass.
One of the best meals I have had anywhere in the world. It’s an intimate dining room with a casual yet cool scene, but the real star here is the food. To start, get the Chicken Liver Mousse and the Radicchio Caesar. Don’t miss the masa fitters with prosciutto and truffle honey. This dish beautifully embodies Alimento’s sophisticated Angelino take on Italian cuisine. The pastas are to die for. We loved the Tortellini en Brodo which is a sort of beautifully buttery Italian soup dumpling. Dessert and the wine program are also world class.
12.7.23 I order from Alimento frequently, although tonight, I ordered an entree in addition to the yuzu desert I typically order. They have leveled up so much, wine pairing with the gnocchi is amazing, and the yuzu tart perfected its meringue and crust and filling, like yes please and thank you all day.
Craving for some good Italian, get a table for two. Service was very friendly and attentive (nothing like other reviewer mentioned) minimalist design and decor, simple and clean.
We start with smooth delicious chicken liver pate, followed by tender octopus, just right amount of spicy ribs, al dente duck sausage lumache, all good but until acqua pazza show up, it's just so far away from their Instagram picture (look like two different dish) and way too salty.
Overall it was a great dinner.
