I love Mauro's Cafe. Why? Well, the tradition of Italian cooking is apparent for one. Their use of seasonal fresh vegetables and of course all ingredients for sure is necessary to keep up the Italian style of cooking, but also the way the do it. Wow! The influence of the California cuisine is also a positive thing...the healthy combinations of lightly sautéed vegetables and american sandwiches works well on the menu. Wines are generally good! This is a lunch place but I think they recently opened for dinner. That's good news! This place is not designed to be anything else than what it already is. A classic low key restaurant. It's real and the guests appreciate that. It's of course lively and almost always packed. Even though it's busy you will probably get a table after a short wait if not immediately, the very professional maitre'd will accommodate you in seconds and if there is no table she will set you up asap. I highly recommend this as it is one of my favorite spots in West Hollywood!
The food at Mauro's Cafe was delicious and sent my taste buds for a wild ride. I recommend the Salmon Tartare, cucumber lemonade, and the pasta with mushrooms. The staff was attentive and personable. The tasteful music and cool interior was also a plus. This place is a must go if you're in the LA area! :)
I would add this to your "must stop here" places to eat. There are many options to choose from on their menu. I ordered the Frisee, Radicchio & Arugula with shrimp, and my daughter, who is allergic to gluten, ordered Evie's Sauteed Vegetables with chicken. The food was really good. The servers were very friendly and helpful. Very relaxed atmosphere. We will come back here again when we visit the area again.
Absolutely loved it here!
Amazing spot. Proper prices, as a Londoner living in LA I loved the value for money, atmosphere, customer service and overall experience. Quaint and European to the core. Hard to find a spot like this in LA!
Lots of love,

I've been to many restaurants for over 50 years in Los Angeles. This is an amazing hidden gem. The ambiance, the staff, the quality of food, it's all five stars all the way around. I wish I could give a six bonus star. This was my first time there. I usually go for specials. But my friend who's a regular recommended the chicken parmesan with garlic and olive oil spaghetti. How right he was. This was the most unique and tasty chicken parmesan I have ever had. I'm so glad that I don't live so close because I would probably be there every night. What a wonderful experience.
Wonderful Italian/California food, atmosphere and service.
Managed to get a table inside for lunch despite not having a reservation, the host was so kind to us.
Highly recommend you visit and unwind.
You won’t be disappointed.
I decided to try this place out after I got a $25 coupon from Restaurant.com. And I am so glad I went here. The waitresses were super nice. There's a ton of outdoor seating and rest assured there is parking. Not sure how the parking situation is during peak hours, but I went at 11 AM on a Friday and there was ample space.
Would definitely come again! The food was good as well.
A fantastic spot. Came in for brunch, wound up ordering their pasta of the day instead. Was very satisfied with the food and service.
Food is excellent so is the Atmosphere.
So good!!! Mira was amazing. She gave such good recommendations and was super sweet. Service was 10/10 and the vibe was immaculate. Would highly recommend this spot
Seriously some of the best pasta I have ever eaten in my life! I had the penne arrabbiata and it was perfectly divine! It’s a hidden gem that’s 30 years in LA for a reason. (The owner is super sweet too!)
Came here because of a recommendation and they didn’t disappoint!!! The hospitality from the staff was beyond memorable. The brunch was perfection. Great atmosphere with celebrity sightings. Definitely the place to be.
