I hadn't been to Gelson's on Hyperion or to Trader Joe's across the Street in Literally 20+ years. After Yeoh disappeared in June 2001 and Luckee! died suddenly on February 28 2002; I never went back up there to Catts & Doggs boutique. I don't know if they're still located at 2833 Hyperion 90027. A wonderful friend took me to that Gelson's. Later we picked up her Niña & went to Trader Joe's. I found & bought a huge Yellow hot/cold rectangular "bag"; which I used at Trader Joe's today at 3rd & Fairfax. That Gelson's used to be a Mayfair. Being a gourmande & food addict since 7, I know where food is best. And soap, too. I have the nose of a bloodhound or a cat or a parfumière. And I can hear a dog whistle. That's another story: my witness was Charlie, who heard it, too. At night.

Trader Joe's never fails to impress! Their unique selection of products and friendly staff make every shopping trip a delight. I especially love their seasonal items and the commitment to high-quality, organic options. Parking can be a bit tight sometimes, but it's well worth the trip!
One thing that I consistently love about Trader Joe’s is how nice and kind their employees are and I think the reason is because they are treated well by the upper management and the company perks.
This store is fantastic. It’s located on a very beautiful street with a bright green hill next to the little parking lot.
This location has all the usual TJ’s brand foods and more. They have a working bathroom with no key and it’s always nice in there.
Trader Joe’s brand items taste terrific and more healthy than the stuff you find at your average grocery store.
The produce is very fresh at this location. yeah
Trader Joe's has consistently exceeded my expectations, making every shopping experience delightful and convenient. Their wide selection of high-quality products, unique snacks, and organic offerings make it a haven for food enthusiasts. The friendly and helpful staff enhance the welcoming atmosphere, always ready to assist and share recommendations.
A favorite and regularly patroned store. However, I don't like it when favorite and frequently purchased items are made seasonal! Dont get too attached to things you like most. Trust me, you're not alone, and they will make you suffer to create demand.
This Trader Joe’s was pretty full of items, the seasonal stuff and the normal stuff. The parking lot is kind of small but since people are always in and out of Trader Joe’s you can definitely find parking. But if you do see street parking before you get to the Trader Joe’s I’d highly recommend just parking on the street. Side note: lots of attractive people in Silverlake :)
A good Trader Joe’s, they stock a lot of things but not everything. I had a question about an item and woman named Mondo helped me out and even went the extra mile to find me in the store and give me information about the item. Great customer service, give her a raise!
Bring back the Montezuma chocolate bars! They are the best! I’m going through withdrawals :(
Trader Joe's has always been a fun store to go into ever since I was a kid. I love to see what different foods, snacks, and fruits they have available. You can find things here that aren't available everywhere else.
All TJ’s are amazing but this one is the best! The employees here are truly so kind and a pleasure to interact with. Shout out to Albert today who checked me out and offered some much needed wisdom and kindness. Another employee in the parking lot said I had a smile like the sun. I was having such a rough day and TJ’s made it a lot brighter.
No parking. Extremely helpful staff. Unfortunately they have very limited choices due to space. Not somewhere you want to go when looking for items like microwavable rice and pumpkin puree. More like canned beans and pretty veggies. Meat seems more expensive than usual there.
