This is a small restaurant, frequented by neighborhood residents in Brentwood who appreciate good food, good service and reasonable prices. It is barely noticeable unless you know it's there, but it is well worth the time to look for and find it. The food is quintessentially Italian, the wine list is good, and I have never had a bad meal there. It is really small, so reservations are recommended. All the surrounding eating places in its block (11700 block of San Vicente) are now empty, but Pizzicotto remins - we hope for a very long time!
I have been a patron of this wonderful restaurant for over 15 years. It is the real deal! Authentic Italian food prepared by and, served by real Italians. The atmosphere, the food and the service is right out of Italy or more like New York's, "Little Italy" transplanted to Brentwood. The prices are very reasonable. I have paid two to three times the price at some high end Italian restaurants that were not even close to the quality of this quaint and very special place.
Awesome. Stumbled on this place with my wife while visiting LA a couple of years ago. We always eat here when we are in town. Quality and prep of the food is excellent. Service is efficient and friendly. Lobster ravioli is to die for. I freaking love this place.
Delicious & affordable!. Thank god I found Pizzicotto to satisfy my pasta cravings for a late lunch.
First impressions: homey casual Italian atmosphere, too many choices on the menu for my indecisive mind
Food: nice complimentary bread with olive oil dip, generous pasta portions, fresh ingredients, STILL super delicious as left-over food the next day.
Highly recommend if your looking for a casual and affordable Italian eatery.
Quaint storefront style Italian place that is non-assuming. Food is excellent and well priced. Particularly, the pastas and flat bread pizzas are wonderful. Service is attentive and not stuffy. You feel like you've been a regular here for years--even on your first visit. One of my favorite spots in Brentwood.
Good food and great service. I've been going here since my fiancé introduced it to me a few years ago. They've always treated me well no matter what I throw at them. 2 years ago for lent I gave up cheese and fried food and I was surprised at how willing the chefs were to work around me. Even when injured they went out of their way to make me comfortable; great people serving good food.
A bit of a tight squeeze but yummy food and nice quiet ambiance. Pizza with delicate thin crust. Caesar salad ok but bit great.. Definitely recommend. Good affordable dishes and friendly service.
Ten years and counting.... I have been going to Pizzicotto for 10 years now and have never left disappointed.

Just like home. I've lived in Italy for many years. This is as close as you get to a Italian experience without having to take a loan out
Home is.... This place does it right every time. Walk in for lunch, and you'll see just how may people agree. This is a "Mom-n-Pop" kind of restaurant that pushes out some seriously high-end Italian eats! Blink and you could miss it, as driving down San Vicente can be a bit of a swirl, but when you find it, you'll be happy you did! The food and the service is excellent! Fabrizio the chef is a warm and friendly man with some serious talent, and the overall cozy appeal makes this place a top spot for very reasonably priced food. Go now, you'll be glad you did!
Loved the service at Pizzicotto. The server gave a great recommendation for a pink sauce (vodka infused) with our spaghetti. Licked the plate clean. Their prosciutto pizza had a thin crust with arugula and tomatoes, absolutely superb. Their wine selection was a bit pricey. Definitely will be coming back.
Ahh it fulfilled my dream of that small homey cozy extremely Italian restaurant. All the waiters were Italian guys and very nice.
Pricier, certainly, but it's the first time I have ordered ravioli and enjoyed it. The BREAD IS AMAZING. The flavors are rich and fulfilling I honestly mopped up my plate with a second basket of bread.
Very savory appetizers, delicious pasta and other dishes. Great desserts!
Had the gnocchi and it was excellent. The tiramisu was also wonderful. They took our reservation same day and sat us in a small room upstairs. It’s a small place, and it can be a little loud, but the food makes up for it. Service was very friendly too.
This place was great! Warm friendly staff. Great service delicious dinner. I had the chicken sausage special and couldn't have been more satisfied. The raspberry tart dessert was sublime.
This is a happy small place with lots of charm. I wish I could take it back to SC with me.
I've come here a few times for weekday lunch. It's very cute with good food and somewhat reasonable prices for Italian food in the area.
Main drawback is that it's not wheelchair accessible. Tables are too close together and the hallway to the restroom in the back is super narrow, with supplies in the way. If you use a wheelchair, plan to eat outside or right up front and hope that you don't have to go to the bathroom.
Great food and interesting ambience from what we could tell in the restaurant, but we got a $20+ shock after ordering two dishes for ~$15 ea and a salad for less than $10. $40+ tax shouldn’t come out to $63+, but it did somehow. I didn’t want to argue. We might have given 5 stars, but this sort of turned me off. Maybe the menu was outdated? Nice people behind the counter however.
Had an early dinner. Service was correct and we felt welcome. We shared a pizza as an appetizer-very nice. Main was veal in a mushroom sauce with perfectly cooked veggies. Veal was one of the best I have tasted.
Great Italian food. Cute restaurant. Tables are really close to other people. Need reservation or your waiting 1-2hrs ... we waited 1hr for a table and we got there super early 5pm. Not much parking. Mostly metered parking. Good food.
Love this little place. The owners are charming and not part of a big chain. They care about the quality of the food and your experience there. Waiters have been around for a long time and know what they are doing. Don't expect to rush in and rush out. They prepare your food when you order it so it will be fresh.
