Lovely! My husband and I came here to have a Valentine's brunch and we were thoroughly satisfied! South of the Border as is and one without cream cheese. (Elvis add Nutella for later ;)) So yummy! Super nice family run business. We will definitely be back and we think our parents would enjoy as well. 10/10 recommend!
I absolutely love the owners, the vibe and the flavors. I had a bacon bagel with cream cheese and mango chipotle jelly. The flavors were great. I do wish the bagel was more chewy and less bread like but that didn’t stop me from loving the entire experience!!
Cute bagel shop! I got the South I-50 - turkey, bacon with yummy homemade cream cheese. Big menu with lots to choose from including non-bagel fruit bowls. Very nice ownership. Cute outdoor area with lots of shade to eat. No restrooms though.
The bagels by themselves are better than the supermarket bagels but by no means are they amazing. What sets this place apart is the different ways that you can have you bagel prepared. They have some healthier options to choose from as well as more traditional and unique options.
I will say I ordered some Asiago Bagels and some other bagels to try and I am fairly confident in saying that I ended up with plain bagels instead of the Asiago. I wish they had told me as I may have gotten something else if they had run out of Asiago. I live far enough away that it was not worth me returning to ask about the discrepancy.
If you are in the Long Beach area and want a bagel, it is worth checking out.
Best bagels I've ever had. The chef knows his stuff. Friendly counter service. Hidden gem. Make this part of your every visit to the area. It's a must.
Delicious! I was driving through on a Sunday morning and found this hidden gem! Great bagels and super friendly staff. Would recommend 10/10 times!
A Southern Bagel Company makes some good bagels. They know what they are doing and the prices are reasonable.
I had the Carsons Carolina with a jalapeño cheddar bagel substitute. It hit the spot like no other bagel I have ever had.
If you are in Long Beach, come here for breakfast or lunch and that will satiate your appetitie until your next meal.
7:30am Sunday stopped in for a “South of I-10” bagel and a Hawaiian bagel sandwich. Delicious food, surprisingly extensive menu of sandwiches, and such a quaint, happy setting.
BTW, we were the ones who spilt the coffee everywhere 🤭
Oh, and check out the pecan bagels only available on Sunday’s!
